Title: Scoring Question Post by PA Outlaws on Dec 31st, 2002, 11:09pm What is your leagues scoring system for kickers and receivers? Just curious, because I don't like ours too much! Please only serious responses. FFtoday was a complete waste. It is filled with assholes who just talk a lot of smack. |

Title: Re: Scoring Question Post by StegRock on Jan 1st, 2003, 12:44am First post of 2003... Well, PA, I'm not sure how much this will help as I am fairly certain you are using a plain-and-simple performance-league scoring system and the GBRFL runs off of a "rotisserie-style" system. But, I always welcome the opportunity to give what I consider to be the neatest system around a plug. So, here is a link to the GBRFL scoring-rules page: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/gbrfl/scoring.htm. Here is a link to the scoring system for the CBFL, but it is very, perhaps too, plain-and-simple: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cbfl/scoring.htm. I hope this helps! But, can anybody else, with perhaps a more compatible scoring system, give PA a hand here? |

Title: Re: Scoring Question Post by FourTwoOh on Jan 1st, 2003, 12:54am Shit can go south in a hurry over there, for sure. It would seem to make sense to me that if you're going to reduce td value by a third, you would carry that over to kickers as well. FG work out to a piece of cake. Now ya just gotta figure something for extra points. I'm not a fan of fractional scoring so maybe a point for every 2 xp made? One for every three xp seems too stringy as you'd have to a three td day for you kicker to score at all. Probably just do away with the xp completly. It's not a yardage based item in any fashion. Title: Re: Scoring Question Post by BarnabyWilde on Jan 1st, 2003, 1:11pm For my QFL league, kickers get length of FG divided by 4 Bonus for 4 FG's in one game. Our WR's get 1 point for every 10 yards. Scoring wise we use a length of touchdown system: 1-5 yards : 10 pts 6-10 yards: 11 pts And so on...the longer the TD, the more points. |

Title: Re: Scoring Question Post by StegRock on Jan 1st, 2003, 10:18pm PA, I suppose you could just make receiving 1 point for every 10 yards like most other performance leagues. Perhaps, if you are the kind who dares to be different, you could try 1 point for every 12 yards. As for your kicking sitch, well, as FourTwoOh states above, if you are going to decrease the value of touchdowns the way you do, the scoring ability of kickers needs to be lessened (quite a bit) as well. I would say 1 point for every field goal under 50 yards and 2 points for field goals 50 and over. I would not count extra points at all. That is just the way it is based on how you score TD's. How you score TD's really limits your options for scoring field goals (and extra points). |
