Title: ***NFL Draft: Player Preview - Tyrone Calico*** Post by Philly on Apr 2nd, 2003, 8:57pm Tyrone Calico WR Middle Tennessee St. 6-4, 220 I love this guy. He is big, fast, and very athletic. (A poor man's Randy Moss, albeit a half a step slower.) The drawback with Calico is that he played most of his career in a run-oriented offense and had another decent WR on the other end of the line of scrimmage. As a result, this season he only had 45 catches for 600 yards and 4 TDs (3 of those came in one game against Louisiana Monroe). He also needs to develop some consistency - he is very coachable, so some time and reps will help immensely. Draft Prognosis: Someone is going to grab Calico in the 3rd round and have themselves a future #1 receiver. |
