Please feel free to comment/agree/argue my picks, or start up you own picks as well!!

1. Cincinnati: Terrence Newman, CB, Kansas St.
The Bengals can go either Newman or Palmer here, but I lean towards Newman for two reasons. One, they need a shut down corner, and Newman is the best in the draft. He can start right away. Two, they can take a quarterback if they want in the second round and still get a future starter.

2. Detroit: Charles Rogers, WR, Michigan St.
No brainer here. The Lions need weapons, and Rogers is just that.

3. Houston: Terrell Suggs, DE, Arizona St.
Houston has lots of needs, so they may trade their pick and move down for some extra selections. If not, they take Suggs to help their pass rush.

4. Chicago: Carson Palmer, QB, USC
The Bears were holding their breath waiting for the Bengals to make up their minds. With Palmer still on the board, the Bears shift gears and nab their QB of the future.

5. Dallas: Jimmy Kennedy, DT, Penn St.
Parcells is all about defense, and with Suggs gone, he takes this big interior pass rusher.

6. Arizona: Andre Johnson, WR, Miami
The Cards have no one to throw the ball to, so they take Johnson here. He will be a great wideout for years to come.

7. Minnesota: Marcus Trufant, CB, Washington St.
The Vikes need major help in their secondary, and Trufant is just the man to strat with. He's a natural cover man and playmaker.

8. Jacksonville: Dewayne Robertson, DT, Kentucky
Has the size to plug the middle to let his ends and backers make plays the Jags are looking for.

9. Carolina: Byron Leftwich, QB, Marshall
The Panthers didn't have to move up to get the gut they coveted. He will have some time to learn the NFL game and will be solid for years.

10. Baltimore: Jordan Gross, OT, Utah
Another team with lots of holes, they shore up a big concern with a hefty tackle.

11. Seattle: Jerome McDougle, DE, Miami

12. St. Louis: Kwame Harris, OT< Stanford

13. New York Jets: Boss BAiley, LB, Georgia

14. New England: Kevin Williams, DT, Oklahoma St.

15. San Diego: William Joseph, DT, Miami

16. Kansas City: Jonathan Sullivan, DT, Georgia

17. New Orleans: EJ Henderson, LB, Maryland

18. New Orleans: Andre Woolfork, CB, Oklahoma

19. New England: WIllis MaGahee, RB, Miami

20. Denver: Kenny Peterson, DE, Ohio St.

21. Cleveland: Eric Steinbach, OG, Iowa

22. New York Jets: Kelly Washington, WR, Tennessee

23. Atlanta: Taylor Jacobs, WR, Florida

I'd have to say all the talk revolving around Cincinatti and it's so-called "questioning" around the #1 pick is a load of crap. They're going to take Palmer.

I agree with Rogers to the Lions. Harrington and a big-play receiver=success.

I don't agree with Suggs to Houston. Carr needs the same big-play receiver as Harrington and they'll find that in Andre Johnson. Suggs dropped his stock with his workouts.

Chicago will take Dewayne Robertson, in my opinion. I think he should go off the board before Kennedy. We'll see... depends on what team and what defense.

Dallas- Newman

Arizona- Suggs

I agree with Minnesota and Trufant

Jacksonville will take Leftwich, in need or a successor to Brunell

Carolina will take Gross, in order to boost their line, then try and snag a QB in the 2nd

Baltimore takes Kyle Boller

Ehh, these are all just my opinions of course. We'll see what happens on the 26th, can't wait!

Bears - QB Carson Palmer (The Bengals play up that they are going to taking Carson Palmer and the Ravens, realizing they need a QB badly, enter the bidding war with the Bears, but the Bears win out because their first-round pick is less of a drop-off and fits Marv Lewis's strategy well.)

Maybe we could make this some sort of sick contest...

1. Cincinnati - Carson Palmer, QB USC. If Cincy keeps this pick, this is the logical choice. Given that, I would guess that they'll go the illogical route and take Newman here.

2. Detroit - Charles Rogers, WR MSU. Has to be the most pressing need on a team with many pressing needs.

3. Houston - Andre Johnson, WR MIA. Houston has stressed offense, offense, offense for this draft and have been disappointed in Suggs' workouts thus far. A Carr/Johnson/Bradford combo is pretty promising for the future of Houston's passing attack.

4. Chicago - DeWayne Robertson, DT Kentucky. Chicago's in love with this guy for some reason. That and their DT's are on the brink of extinction makes him the logical choice here.

5. Dallas - Terrence Newman, CB KSU. Dallas does backflips to have a great cover corner again, with one of the best young safeties in the league.

6. Arizona - Terrell Suggs, DE ASU. Another team doing backflips that they get their homestate defensive god to draw fans back into the stands.

7. Minnesota - Jimmy Kennedy, DT PSU. Minnesota takes a long, hard look at Trufant here, but passes on him to fill their most pressing defensive need.

8. Jacksonville - Marcus Trufant, CB WSU. Definitely a major area of concern for the Jags...hard to pass up Leftwich here.

9. Carolina - Byron Leftwich, QB Marshall. Another team doing backflips that they fill the weakest link on their team with a top three talent.

10. Baltimore - Kyle Boller, QB Cal. The Ravens are heartbroken that they miss Leftwich by one pick and pass on OLine help to get their QB for the future. I personally think Boller is going to be a major bust.

Since it seems everyone is posting on your picks BW, I'll continue the trend and post my top 10 here. I should point out that this is the authoritative list...

1. Bengals - Carson Palmer, QB, USC
-Bengals get a good one this time.

2. Lions - Charles Rogers, WR, Michigan St
-The easiest pick of the draft. The Lions need to give Harrington a true threat at WR. This guy is the real deal and will be an impact player from day one.

3. Texans - Andre Johnson, WR, Miami
-The Texans still have many needs, but the allure of a solid WR the likes of Johnson will be hard to pass up.

4. Bears - Dewayne Robertson, DT, Kentucky
-'Da Bears have two choices here, Kennedy or Robertson. They choose Robertson who is a better run stuffer.

5. Cowboys - Terrence Newman, CB, Kansas St
-The Cowboys solidify their defensive secondary, adding the best CB prospect to the young backfield featuring Roy Williams and Derek Ross. There are some injury concerns that keep Newman from being a top-3 pick.

6. Cardinals - Terrell Suggs, DE, Ariz St
-Now that local favorite Jake the Snake has departed, Arizona needs to bring in another local collegian to try to get some butts in the seats. Despite the poor workout numbers by Suggs, which drop him this low, he is a "football player" and will contribute immediately.

7. Vikings - Jimmy Kennedy, DT, PSU
-A better athlete than Robertson (#4) who is one of the most NFL-ready players right now.

8. Jaguars - Byron Leftwich, QB, Marshall
-What a great situation for Leftwich. Brunell has another year or so left and will be a great mentor to Leftwich.

9. Panthers - Kyle Boller, QB, Cal
-The Panthers dig themselves another QB hole. (And Weinke is still on the roster!) They should listen to a little old-school Public Enemy... "Don't Believe the Hype"...

10. Ravens - Jordan Gross, OT, Utah
-Left out of the QB derby, they choose the best O-lineman in the draft. Jamal Lewis will have a great big smile with this pick.

You don't still think they're looking at Terrell Suggs, do you? Andre Johnson has been impressing at workouts, while Suggs is getting in trouble with the law and running very slow 40 times and had less than impressive bench results...

The Texans really need someone to work opposite Jabar Gaffney, moving Corey Bradford into the 3 spot, where he's a natural. Can you imagine the Texans offense now that they have Mack at RB, a more-mature Carr at QB, Andre Johnson-Gaffney-Bradford at WR, Miller at TE... talk about some weapons... now if they can just get the O-Line to block...

Hell, Terell Suggs might still be a viable option. There's no way scouts are dumb enough to let combine times affect his position. This guy broke an NCAA record. Enough said.

There will still be some quality O-linemen available when Houston picks in round #2 (Hunter (maybe), Foster, Stinchcomb, Brett Williams, Pashos at OT and Manuwai (maybe), Dockery, Tucker, Holland at OG, and maybe even Faine at C).

There will not be any receivers left who are the caliber of Rogers or Johnson. Receivers like Washington and Bryant Johnson will also be gone by the time Houston picks in round #2 - look at the huge drop-off in quality even after the first 2 receivers.

I just believe that the Texans, assuming they don't trade out of the spot (which could happen) will not be able to pass up Andre Johnson.

I agree. Sorry Keyshawn, you're alone on this one. There was even talk the Texans would trade up to get the #1 pick to grab Rogers while the Bengals could still get #3 and still grab Palmer, and really the Lions would just get jipped out of Rogers (I'd assume they'd trade down and take Newman if put in that situation). But the Texans GM said that they would not go through with that move because they felt Johnson was just as good as Rogers and why trade up when you can get someone just as good with #3 and not as big of a signing bonus. Hmm, let's see if I can find that link. Haha, I'm sure some of you have seen the article though. It's pretty clear they'll take Johnson; they've been stressing "offense, offense, offense" for the draft, all offseason. They have many holes to fill but WR is a big one. Gaffney, Bradford, and Johnson, with Carr... oh yeah! I see 7 wins at minimum, and Mack will do well too. Yeah I get a little too optimistic sometimes, oh well. But they're D, at least, is half-respectable.

I actually think paulinstl was on to something in our first NFL Mock Draft on "the Gridiron"... Steve Beuerlein is on his last legs; this year and that's about it for him, and Jarious Jackson ain't a solid backup to count on... and, while I believe in my man Jake "the Snake", you still have to be reasonable and take a "wait and see" approach, and if he is to flop, where does that leave Denver at QB, given the above? ... Like I saw Plummer as Elway's mini-me, I see a lot of Elway in Boller as well... Boller provides great insurance, a nice eventual option if Plummer fails and hope for the long-term future at the position even if Plummer succeeds... I have heard that he is actually pretty raw and is going to need time to develop, anyway... Like Plummer, Boller is just too ideal for the Donkeys' system for them to pass up on, regardless of the Plummer signing... and two perceived-to-be solid quarterbacks is better than having one, anyway, right? It is just that the Broncos are more famous for having a superabundance of running backs; well, now it is going to be quarterbacks!)
