Title: Re: Jets trade both 1st round picks for Bears #4 P Post by Referee on Apr 25th, 2003, 1:40pm GREAT REPORT, KJ 76! WOW! REALLY BIG NEWS! That having been said, "between the 20's" has become our "Draft Central" where ALL "draft-related" news of any kind is to be posted. To be honest with you, it just kind of evolved that way; it was not my original intention or as per the original board descriptions, but, actually, I like it this way. As of about two or three days ago, it was officially indicated in/added to the description for the "between the 20's" board. So, your thread here provides me with an ideal opportunity to "set the precedent"! Thanks for the post and your anticipated understanding! [smiley=bow.gif] Sorry it had to be you! :-[ But, we have automatic "Move Notices" here, anyway. So, it is not really a big deal, right? [smiley=shrug.gif] |

Title: Re: Jets trade both 1st round picks for Bears #4 P Post by StegRock on Apr 25th, 2003, 2:00pm Well, KJ 76, first off, GREAT FIND and POST! Since ESPN is part of "the Gridiron Newsstand" (and "The REAL Feed", for that matter), though, I am going to correct your statement there and say, "You couldn't find anything further on 'the Newsstand'!" This is especially true if you have torn up your bookmarks and do your (daily) FF research by way of "the Newsstand" and went to ESPN via "the Newsstand" (this is NOT a time to proove your veracity to me here, friend ;) )! Anyway, got some great corroboration of KJ 76's report for ya's and some further worth-while reading, helping you put all the puzzle pieces together: On the trade - http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/ny-jetsupdate0425,0,3106917.story?coll=ny%2Djets%2Dheadlines; Informatively portending the trade beforehand - http://www.nytimes.com/2003/04/25/sports/football/25jets.html; http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/story/78242p-72111c.html; The Jets Draft Chart/Plans/Needs as they were before the trade - http://www.nj.com/jets/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/105125224110870.xml. ENJOY your "helping", boyz! [smiley=lickinmychops.gif] |

Title: Re: Jets trade both 1st round picks for Bears #4 P Post by DirkDiggler on Apr 25th, 2003, 4:21pm I thought the Patriots would move up to be honest with you to get the Bears pick. I should redo my mock draft, but that is too much fucking work. So, I think the Jets will take Robertson over Kennedy. Some people have Kennedy over Robertson, but I personally thinbk the Jets need Robertsons run stopping ability playing Ricky, Henry, and McGahee(when the pats draft him) twice a year........ |

Title: Re: Jets trade both 1st round picks for Bears #4 P Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 26th, 2003, 10:37am I think this moves helps both teams quite a bit! The Bears will now get two quality players instead of one, and the Jets will get the impact player they covet! |
