Title: Re: GRIDIRON GUARANTEE - Week 12 Post by #1 Steelers Fan on Nov 19th, 2003, 6:00pm Here is mine. Chiefs lose another to the Raiders this week. Courtesy of Tyrone Wheatley. The stars will be aligned for Wheatley, who should be Oakland’s primary ballcarrier in a suddenly run-heavy offense for the second week in a row. Wheatley offers the best physical package of power, balance and a quick move to the hole that allows him to consistently churn out the yards Oakland needs to maintain drives and keep its defense off the field. The Chiefs’ defensive front has been getting pushed around by strong power running games. |

I think this is a bold prediction! Da Raider nation was impressive last week, but I don't see it happening again. (even though your reasoning is valid.) |

Title: Re: GRIDIRON GUARANTEE - Week 12 Post by #1 Steelers Fan on Nov 20th, 2003, 12:19pm I thought is was pretty bold myself. I love football at all ranks but the NFL has really distanced themselves from other pro sports to the point that I don't even follow them. Every year you never know who is going to win, which players will fall and which no name guy will emerge. I love it. The Chiefs and Dick Vermeil, definatley a feel good story. You know most people watch the games or they look at the standings and see the Chiefs 9-1 and most will say they are Super Bowl Favorites. A closer look at the Chiefs will reveal that if you prevent them from making big plays on special teams and contain Priest Holmes they can be beat. The last time they beat Oakland was by 7 points. If the Raiders can play a physical game and not allow Dante Hall to take one to the house they can beat the Chiefs. |

Title: Re: GRIDIRON GUARANTEE - Week 12 Post by steelkings on Nov 20th, 2003, 12:29pm The equiptment manager is gonna have to sew new names over the priest holmes shoe prints on the backs of the Raider jerseys next monday. There isnt enough geritol in the country for the Raiders to beat the Chiefs . Here's one. Gus Forgotte will rescue the Minnesota Drunkings after Kordell Coldpepper gets yanked late against the Lions. |

It almost happened but because that bonehead Phillip Buchannon took of his helmet and then got owned by Marc Boerigter. That allowed Andersen to ride his wheel chair out to kick the game winner which barely cleared the uprights! |

Definitely something wrong, and I think it starts in the O-Coordinators booth. CPepp is struggling, and someone's gotta take control up there. |
