Title: Early Weather Reports for Week 12
Post by Callie on Nov 22nd, 2003, 4:58pm
It's getting to be that time of the season, boys and girls.
Any locals with a better forecast, please correct me.  Remember that weather forecasts change, and a good pilot only looks at weather forecasts about 6 hrs. ahead.  Their lives can depend on it!

Let me know if you ever want me to do this again.

EARLY GAMES
Carolina at Dallas; Temp. in the 50s, winds around 25 mph (bad), slight chance of rain.

Detroit at Minnesota; Dome game.

Indianapolis at Buffalo; Temp. in the 50s, winds around 13 mph, no rain.

Jacksonville at Jets; Temp. in the 50s, not much wind, no rain.

New England at Houston; Temp. in the 70s, winds around 16 mph, good chance of thunderstorms, but they have a retractable roof.

New Orleans at Philadelphia; Temp. in the high 50s, not much wind, no rain.

Pittsburgh at Cleveland; Temp. in the low 60s, winds around 16 mph (not good), slight chance of rain.

Seattle at Baltimore; Temp. in the low 60s, not much wind, no rain.

San Francisco at Green Bay; Temp. in the low 40s, winds around 11 mph, very good chance of rain.

LATE GAMES
Chicago at Denver; Here comes winter!  They're both used to it!  Temp. below 20 deegrees (wind chill will make it feel just a little over 0 degrees, winds around 14 mph (not good).  No precipitation.

St. Louis at Arizona; Actually some real football weather in Sun Devil, temp. in the high 50s, not much wind, no rain.

Cincinnati at San Diego; Temp. in the high 60s, winds around 10 mph, no rain.

Oakland at Kansas City; Temp. in the 30s (wind chill will make it feel below 20 degrees), winds around 20 mph (not good), chance of precipitation.

Tennessee at Atlanta; Dome game.

SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
Washington at Miami; Temp. in the mid 70s, not much wind, no rain.

MONDAY NIGHT GAME
Giants at Tampa Bay; Some football weather in the south!  Temp. in the high 50s, winds around 8 mph, slight chance of rain.

Only a few games are weather situations....so far.
But it's almost December.

Thanks Callie, This is great!!!  Although it looks like all my qb's are in windy conditions unless they close the roof for Brady. :)

[offtopic]This is a WONDERFUL idea, Callie!  And, where to put such a thread, granted, is not 100% clear based on our board descriptions.  This is one of these topics that falls between the cracks.  However, we do have precedent to fall back on.  Our other "weather" thread from the past, last year, was maintained "between the 20's", which does seem to be the board most appropriate for this topic, kind of.  As such, that is where this thread is going to be moved.  I look forward to your "'between the 20's' weather feature" here every week, Callie. [smiley=bow.gif] Thank you for your anticipated understanding and future compliance and consideration.[/offtopic]

Actually, I see I've been preceded by Steg's Nov. 16th post in between the 20s.  I seldom go between the 20s, so I just didn't see it.  The reason I felt it belonged in the red zone is because this time of year I take the weather into serious consideration when setting my lineup.  Mainly because I got burned a few times by the weather last winter!

I'll gladly keep it up, put it where ever you guys want it.  Hey, I'm not doing the work to run the joint!  But I'd recommend that whoever does it, give everyone a heads up on where they can find it.  Like for people like me who didn't find it before....

Just let me know if you want it.  I'd love to help out if I can.

Weather is definitely going to be a factor down the stretch.  Especially, going into the playoffs for both fantasy leagues & the NFL.  I personally check it every so often whenever I have a close call on my lineup.  Maybe if you just report the problem areas that would be greatly appreciated.
