Title: Philly's Mock NFL Draft, Version 2.0
Post by Philly on Mar 8th, 2004, 7:05pm
Here's my latest attempt.  Underclassmen and free-agency have changed things quite a bit since the last version.

Feel free to comment/criticize.   :)
     #            TEAM            PLAYER            POS.            SCHOOL            COMMENTS
Chargers            Eli Manning            QB            Mississippi            DNA makes him first pick in 2004.
Raiders            Lee Fitzgerald            WR            Pittsburgh            Al Davis wants to win now and outstanding WR will help.
Cardinals            Sean Taylor            FS            Miami            Elite player is said to be best FS prospect in years.
Giants            Robert Gallery            OT            Iowa            Possibly the best player and safest pick in entire draft.
Redskins            Kenechi Udeze            DE            USC            Big-time pass-rusher makes for a scary Redskin D.
Lions            Kevin Jones            RB            Virginia Tech            Lions add a much-needed weapon to their offense.
Browns            Ben Roethlisberger            QB            Miami of Ohio            Home-grown QB will end the Browns QB controversy.
Falcons            Tommie Harris            DT            Oklahoma            Athletic run-stopper can rush the passer too.
Jaguars            Mike Williams            WR            USC            Tremendous WR perfect complement for Leftwich.
Texans            Vince Wilfork            DT            Miami            Huge DT showed weight wasn't a problem at combine.
Steelers            Chris Gamble            DB            Ohio St.            Tall, athletically-gifted CB fills a glaring hole for Steelers.
Jets            DeAngelo Hall            DB            Virginia Tech            Herm Edwards played CB and now grabs a quick one.
Bills            Kellen Winslow, Jr.            TE            Miami            Best TE slips a little, but Bills and Bledsoe are happy.
Bears            Will Smith            DE            Ohio St.            Relentless pass-rusher will help an anemic defense.
Buccaneers            Steven Jackson            RB            Oregon St.            Complete RB falls into the Bucs lap just as Gruden hoped.
49ers            Roy Williams            WR            Texas            Stock dropped with combine measurements, but still an elite WR.
Bengals            Randy Starks            DT            Maryland            Biggest need for Bengals is capably filled.
Saints            DJ Williams            LB            Miami            Top OLB fills a hole for the Saints struggling defense.
Vikings            Marquise Hill            DE            LSU            Massive DE will make immediate impact on Vikes D.
Dolphins            Reggie Williams            WR            Washington            Will work with Chambers for a solid 1-2 punch after Ricky.
Patriots*            Darnell Dockett            DT            Florida St.            Quick, athletic DT partially fills the hole left by Ted Washington.
Cowboys            Shawn Andrews            OT            Arkansas            Tuna surprised he slipped this far; happily takes a needed position.
Seahawks            Dwan Edwards            DT            Oregon St.            Huge run-stuffer will improve Seattle D from day one.
Broncos            Rashaun Woods            WR            Oklahoma St.            Will form a nice WR duo with Ashley Lelie.
Packers            JP Losman            QB            Tulane            QB in the mold of Favre will become his eventual successor.
Rams            Ben Troupe            TE            Florida            Versatile TE is good blocker and receiver.
Titans            Antwan Odom            DE            Alabama            May not be a Freak, but can get after the QB.
Eagles            Jonathan Vilma            LB            Miami            Maybe the next Ray Lewis?  Eagles hope so.
Colts            Dunta Robinson            CB            South Carolina            Fast-rising CB has size and speed.
Chiefs            Derrick Strait            CB            Oklahoma            Solid CB will do wonders for the KC pass defense.
Panthers            Vernon Carey            OG            Miami            Underrated lineman is just what Panthers needed.
Patriots            Chris Perry            RB            Michigan            Pats really need a RB and may try to trade up for one.

* Acquired the pick from Baltimore.
