Title: Is it time for us to "Huddle Up"?
Post by StegRock on Jul 19th, 2004, 12:22am
For those of you that are new to the joint, we've been doing these "Huddle-style" rankings on "the Gridiron" since our inception.  It's kind of a trademark of ours.  In very short, we together come up with a "Top 100" or whatever list by making picks.  Just don't go twice in a row, preferably letting two people pick before picking again.  Here, respectively, are links to last year's, which was also featured at JunkyardJake.com, and our first-ever one back in 2002:

So, who's up to Huddle [smiley=huddle.gif] Up this year?  Sign in here!  I think we should get this going soon.  If so, perhaps we can fit two in this year, a July one and an August one.

And I promise not to make any stupid picks this year.  Donovan McNabb at #11 last year.  What was I thinking?

Of course, I expect greatness from everyone else too!

That's what I'm all about here... just running that post count as high as I can.   ::)

If, however, you feel that the post you reference is prohibiting you in your (feeble) attempt to catch me in post quantity, I'll be more than happy to delete it and any subsequent references to it...

The point of the post was to emphasize my anxiousness to get the huddle going.

;) ;D

[smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=hellyeafunny.gif] [smiley=LMFAO.gif] [smiley=sinister.gif] [smiley=rollinwithlaughter.gif]

...

Anyway, I am waiting to hear back from Junkyard Jake before kicking this sucker off as I want to find out if he wants to feature this over at JunkyardJake.com like he did last year.  Right now he is overhauling his site, so I don't know.

Is it time for us to "Huddle Up" again here soon, like sometime next week?

I'd better not promise anything right now.  As Steg knows, a family illness has me on a pretty tight leash.

If I'm around, I'll throw in an occasional pick to drive you all crazy with disagreement!  (Hey, that's the Gridironettes' JOB!)

I don't think it is time quite yet.  There are still to many questions out there for starters.  In additon, most drafts don't get started for another 2-3 weeks.  I would say wait another week and a half or so to see if any running back and qb situations clear themselves up.
