Title: VENTING... Post by prm on Oct 18th, 2004, 8:56pm >:( >:(are we allowed to vent here???... >:( >:( maybe this can be a good cathartic addition to the weekly topics... [smiley=yinandyang.gif] if you were in my league - chris brown ( [smiley=thumbsdown.gif]) would be yours for a good defense or te...if my jeep would've made it down to the stadium before the game was over, i would've gone down there and beaten his sissy little @$$ in front of his teammates and AMERICA - he's got a @#$ 150 year old qb with multiple injuries (and was most suredly injured during the game) out on the field trying to play in a game his team was LOSING [smiley=pig.gif] ( [smiley=dick.jpg]) and he sat on the sideline with a !@#$% little "not serious" shoulder injury - he sucks - he sucks - he sucks -and i don't care how many @#$ yards he gets for the rest of the season his %^$$* @$$ is OFF my roster [smiley=wavinbye.gif]...he'll DAMN sure never be on madden's list!!! except for his list of gutless girly football players (sorry callie)...whew...i think i feel much better, anyone else want a turn??? prm... |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by twelve12 on Oct 19th, 2004, 1:45am Call me crazy, but I think I actually saw this coming. He was putting up pretty good numbers the first few weeks of the season but there was no way I could play him because at the time Domanick Davis was a top 5 back. Knowing that his upright running style might cause him injuries and to be unreliable I traded him off for what I thought was a good deal and you can argue this. I got Hines Ward and Brett Favre for him. I might have been screwed in this deal when Davis started to wear down with injuries if not for one idiot in my leauge. He dropped Deuce McAllister when he was injured and I grabbed him as fast as I could, rode Warrick Dunn for three weeks and long story short I've LT and Deuce in my backfield. |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by BarnabyWilde on Oct 19th, 2004, 2:46pm Good God!! Anyone who drops a player of McAllister's ability should be kicked out of the league!!! |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by Philly on Oct 19th, 2004, 4:25pm I traded for Brown when his value was low and traded him away again when his value was high, so I'm still happy with that move. But my team blows, so maybe it wasn't a good idea...? |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by prm on Oct 19th, 2004, 7:46pm well - i must admit...i could NEVER get mad enough at deuce to drop him...especially since the reason brown p!$$#) me of was he was GUTLESS - deuce plays hurt AND gets big points...i do this for a living, pretty impressive to be back from that injury (especially a recurrent injury) as soon as he has... prm... |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by Callie on Oct 20th, 2004, 4:51pm Why couldn't he be doing all THREE for a living??? BTW - Deuce has been resting quietly on my bench in three leagues while I've done what I could to backfill and wait. Now he is back, and now I have both him and the countermeasures. (I deserve a little brag after my "Saintly" patience!) So, to the original point, what do you guys think about picking up A. Smith? (P.S. Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. As the saying goes, I've been busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. But at least I've been kicking butt!) |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by bgsgfan on Oct 20th, 2004, 5:06pm I really don't see Smith having much upside. Reports are saying that Chris Brown will play, even if it turns out to be serious I think Smith's lack of explosiveness will result in a RBBC. |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by StegRock on Oct 20th, 2004, 5:25pm [offtopic]Fellas, as this thread is on the borderline between "the Red Zone" and "between the 20's" material and as "the Red Zone" has really heated up this season, I have decided to move it "between the 20's". The same also stands for the "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" thread we've been doing since the inception of "the Gridiron", which is kind of an antithesis to this one. ... Back to the discussion...[/offtopic] [offtopic]Incidentally, prm, you may make this a weekly thread if you want. :) ... Now, back to the discussion...[/offtopic] |

Title: Re: VENTING... Post by Callie on Nov 6th, 2004, 9:35pm Where did you go, prm? Do the weekly vent thread! My latest - BARLOW! OK, I dissed LT2 from pre-season on. Points to Philly. But Barlow is in the same situation - great but on a bad team. Then, of course, SD gets better. And I have Barlow. Fortunately it's a very deep roster in that league, and I have lots of other RBs. But I really thought he'd produce for me this year. Yeah, right! |
