Title: GRIDIRON GUARANTEE - Week Eight
Post by Philly on Oct 28th, 2004, 9:31am
Gridiron Guarantee is a weekly feature where you get to show off your football knowledge [smiley=graduate.gif] and make a bold prediction concerning any game or player for the coming weekend.

The prediction can be game-related, fantasy-specific, or personal.  [smiley=footballsmiley.gif]

Make a bold prediction. Don't just say "The Patriots will win." That's too easy. Predict something that will have everyone in awe when it actually happens. For example, "Ricky Williams gets reinstated and leads the Dolphins to an upset of the Jets with 200+ yards rushing."  Then come back here on Monday or Tuesday and give us all the "I told you so"s. If you're wrong, who will ever remember?  [smiley=tonguin.gif]

Bound to happen, Philly.  I finally benched Pennington in one league, so he'll score 5 passing TDs.

BTW, love the new avatar!  Believe it or not, I haven't read any criticism of the dance.  So I also predict that the lack of criticism of T.O. will not last until the end of Week 8 tonight.  Probably something out of Madden's mouth.

I've been doubting CuMar's resurgence, expecting it to end each week, and I've been dead wrong.

As for the dance, I loved it.  I thought it was pretty ballsy and a nice rendition.  It's got plenty of people talking.  I didn't see the MNF game, so I didn't hear anything Madden had to say about it.  Did he address it?

If he did, it was while I was in the kitchen raiding the fridge.  I guess Andy Reid short circuited any criticism with an early OK.  Good for him.

Coach Reid's stance with TO's celebrations and such has been "I didn't see it"... He's not overtly accepting the celebrations, but tacitly giving him the OK by turning his back on them.  (Although he did pull TO aside and talk to him when his sign-tearing resulted in a 15-yard penalty.)
