Title: ROOKIE MOCK DRAFT 2 THOUSAND & HIVE-FIVE BABE-BEE

Are we doing a rookie Mock draft again this year? If so I am certainly in for it.

But I would like it if this year we add defensive players to the mix since now that the GIANTS & INSANE leagues feature IDPs.

My other wish would be that there are NO position minimum & maximums. Draft the best player available.

Perhaps we could even take on the GM duties of certain NFL teams to help validate our picks as to WHY we chose them since, there is no other reason or rhyme to doing so - like last year's draft (hence, we aren't necessarily following up on player's drafted 3 or 4 years down the road to see how we each did).

If we got together 10 participants, we could each take on 3 NFL teams to draft for.

OR 8 participants and divide 32 NFL teams up into 4 a piece.

Of course, and unfortunately (only because I haven't studied them), we would also have to draft OLINE men which would have nothing to do with fantasy football as it now stands.

Or we could just draft to draft  - the best player comes off the board. No NFL teams and NO Offensive Linemen.

We could even split the drafts. Have an offeisnce draft for the gridironers that aren't into IDPs.

And then a separate defensive draft for all of us IDP lovers.

Anyhow, I am open to anything! I would just love to participate!

Philly, you started it going last year. Any interest in doing it again this year?

I ran a Mock Rookie Fantasy draft last season really to get an idea what the demand of each of the different rookie players was.  I know I put some restrictions on it that needed to be readdressed this year, but I haven't gone back to analyze it.  I'll probably look into it again soon, but there's no point in doing it until after the draft has concluded and we know where each player has landed.

Also, any time you want to run a mock, feel free to start one.

I will be doing some concensus gathering soon regarding the first round of the NFL draft.  Keep your eyes open for it.
