Title: HUDDLES '05 - Time again to Huddle Up 'n rank 'em
Post by StegRock on May 26th, 2005, 6:17pm
Isn't it about time for us Gridironers to pump out a "huddle [smiley=huddle.gif] style" mock draft?  For those unfamiliar with "the Gridiron's" signature "huddle" mock drafts, click the link below to see our last one from last year:

http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=56;action=display;num=1090808905.

Side note, this first one for '05 won't be the one picked up by JYJ, I don't think, though.

Yes, I think it is the perfect time to do a mock draft.  With the NFL being so slow right now, I think it would be great to get an early feel for where players will go.  I am especially curious to see where LaMont Jordan type player will go in comparison to say a Chad Johnson calidber player.

So sign me up!!!

Monday is Memorial Day.  If guys went away for the long weekend, they may not even see this until Tuesday.

But it's your BB-Que, StegRock.  Whatever works.

Ah, right, Callie!  Tuesday's fine, of course.  I really just meant to convey "a.s.a.p."

I'll try this early mock draft.  Is there time limits on picks or is it draft when you can?

First off, [smiley=welcome.gif] to "the Gridiron", dhaab!  Glad to have you here.  Make sure to check everything out and enjoy the show.  Joining in on our "huddle" mock draft will be a great way for you to get to know some of the guys, get yourself aquainted with the personality of the place and, of course, hone your skills with some of the best. ;D

In response to your question, as well as some of the other expressed, in our "huddle" mock drafts here on "the Gridiron", you are not drafting a team.  So, no one is on the clock.  To see how our signature "huddle" mock drafts are done, follow the link I put in the initial post of the thread.  The main thing to know is that after picking you are to let at least two other people pick before picking again.  We do not want our list dominated by any one person.  And, if you are wondering, the point of doing this is to establish a "Top 100 (or 200 or whatever)" list.

Lastly, I am free starting tonight.  Is anyone interested in getting this thing kicked off tonight instead of waiting until Tuesday???

I'm around tonight, out some of tomorrow.  I'm in.

If anyone feels left out, there's always time for more mocks after the post June 1st stuff.  You can never do too many mock drafts!  ;)

Okay, I am going to kick things off now...  It couldn't hurt.  Speed doesn't matter.  We will DEFINITELY still be going at it on Tuesday (for those who remained under that impression), in any event. :)

Life is nuts, but for a huddle-draft I can probably pump out a pick or 2 a day.
