Title: Re: Rate my team Post by Philly on Aug 31st, 2005, 1:25pm Looks very solid at QB and RB. There's plenty of potential at WR for you, but no sure things. I'd actually shop Cadillac Williams (unless it's a keeper league) around (since Charlie Garner is a goner). Maybe package Caddy and one of the Williamses for a #1 FF WR? Also, I don't know how Troupe is doing in Tenn. He was hurt earlier and hasn't gotten much (if any?) time this preseason. Kinney could steal some numbers from him. Finally, Detroit DST? I know it's preseason, but did you see the Rams tear them apart Monday night? You might want to play Best Available Matchup (i.e., whoever plays Cleveland, Miami, or Chicago) with your defense throughout the season. |

Title: Re: Rate my team Post by captainpurple on Sep 1st, 2005, 10:36am Not much to add to the always solid analysis from Philly. But I will anyway ;D Love your RBs. QBs are a weak in depth IMO. Collins is probably going to land you 30+ TDs, but he's probably going to hurt you for 20+ INTs too. If you are significantly hurt by INTs, you'll have to be careful. And I'm just not sold on Leftwich. He's solid, but isn't going to get you nice fantasy #s. WR are thin. Dangerously so. Stallworth never lives up to hype, and the Aints are looking to run more this year. Plus they have no home games this year either. I'd avoid all Aints but Deuce and Horn. Fitz is a nice #2 receiver, but not a #1 fantasy WR. I don't think you have one, so I'd follow Philly's advice and try to swap an RB for a good #1 receiver. DST is abysmal. Yes, they do play the Bears twice, but they have to play the Vikes and Packers twice too. Not a good prospect. I like your TE, only if there's nothing better. I think Troupe will have a decent year, but that only means about 30 rec & 4 TDs. Fantasy-wise, I don't think he'll benefit from the departure of Dyson. Good luck! |

Title: Re: Rate my team Post by sameoldsameold on Sep 1st, 2005, 2:27pm i think your QBs are decent and will get you by the season....collins could blow up or keep throwing picks your RBs are solid not much more to say then already has been said... Your WRs....first off to the captain....dont the saints say they are gonna run more every year? Fitz will be a decent starter beyond that is a bunch of IFs....i could try to trade a RB for a WR If troupe plays i think you got yourself a nice TE....i really like him to do big things this year.... Im guessing your a detroit fan by looking at your team....you really are gonna have to play match ups on defense....and possibly have to swap kickers somewhere along the line.... |

:D Touche! But I've hung my hat on the Stallworth breakout potential train a couple years and been burned. They guy disappears for 4 weeks, and as soon as you bench him, BAAAM! 125 & 2TDs for ya. Avoid the heartache, avoid Stallworth! |
