I picked up Charles Rogers off of the WW yesterday and put him up on the block for a RB.

I got Kevin Jones!!  Woot, I'm stoked ;D

That is a great move.  I pulled off a similar move earlier in the year by picking up A. Smith and then trading him for Branch.  That was not as good as your move, but it was the same premise.
