Title: Re: Fantasy Helmets/Logos Post by StegRock on Jul 3rd, 2006, 4:33pm I see our "PA system" is back up and running... [smiley=firinback.gif] I have seen your "cyber helmet logo" work and you surely do a good job. Don't quite know why you need such an elaborate forum for such a site... But, hey,... whatever floats your boat... [smiley=sailin.gif] I find that it is better to join forces (with someone willing to support your endeavor (knowing that that endeavor, though, is not the whole show, of course, or even the main event, for that matter)) than... spam... right off the bat without first becoming a "friend" of the site (again) and solid contributor (even though I guess I consider "you" a friend... sort of). In fact, you never responded to the well-thought-out and VERY personal(ized and lengthy) reply I sent you, and in that sense I am a bit disappointed to see you make this thread pretty much first thing (back) (without a personal heads up, just as a courtesy, and reply back, just to be thoughtful, that is). :-/ Anyway, good luck with your venture... Title: Re: Fantasy Helmets/Logos Post by Game_Time on Jul 5th, 2006, 3:22pm What? I'm not trying to make anything bigger or better (I have no other plans than just screwing around with some graphics programs!). It's just a hobby I have and like to do. If anyone here would like a helmet or logo made for their team I'd be happy to do it. No strings, nothing.... Just for fun. And, IO'm no programming or graphics expert, but there is nothing elaborate about my site. I'm not trying to take any people away from here or anything... never meant that. If this is a problem, just delete this thread. Never meant to make any waves! |

Title: Re: Fantasy Helmets/Logos Post by StegRock on Jul 5th, 2006, 7:22pm Uhhhhh... Okay... [smiley=stars.gif] I'm just saying that (especially given the "history" here and that you've just returned) a "courtesy" heads-up before "plugging [smiley=plug.gif] away" would have been nice... and the thoughtful, considerate thing to do. Ultimately, of course, especially in light of our remarkable correspondence of a couple months ago, I would have given you my blessing to start this thread and, in fact, would have with enthusiasm, instead of being a bit taken aback here, helped you plug [smiley=plug.gif] away... if you just worked with/alongside me instead of,... well,... unannounced. Your thread here is not going anywhere... It meets the board description, and, in fact, I have NO problem with its being here... In fact, I WELCOME such posts that could be useful to my "clientele"... What I was hinting at, Jeff, albeit not too subtly (something I tend to do), [smiley=awwgee.gif] is something beyond "the basics". ... That said, in general, anybody who comes in on just about any message-board forum and just spams first thing is likely going to be met with a "lukewarm" reception (no less you here). Again, I wish you the best with your endeavor. It looks like a good one. Good luck! [smiley=shamrock.gif] |

Title: Re: Fantasy Helmets/Logos Post by steelkings on Jul 14th, 2006, 3:18pm http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/6748/aardvark5ea.gif Hey! Isnt that the Ardvark that gets mad at the Pink Panther? |

Title: Re: Fantasy Helmets/Logos Post by Philly on Jul 14th, 2006, 3:22pm Yeah... I sort of remember that. Actually, I think he didn't get mad at the Pink Panther, but was one of the cartoons that was featured on the Pink Panther. He was voiced by Jackie Mason and was always chasing this laid-back ant with a southern drawl. |

Title: Re: Fantasy Helmets/Logos Post by BarnabyWilde on Jul 14th, 2006, 3:36pm Actually, you are only half right. He was featured on the Pink Panther cartoon program, but John Byner, not Jackie Mason did his voice. |

I think, Jeff, "diehard" in this context is referring to that medical condition known as "rigor mortis", which occurs after "death"...
