Title: GRIDIRON GUARANTEE - Week 6
Post by Philly on Oct 13th, 2006, 4:30pm
Gridiron Guarantee is a weekly feature where you get to show off your football knowledge [smiley=graduate.gif] and make a bold prediction concerning any game or player for the coming weekend.

The prediction can be game-related, fantasy-specific, or personal. [smiley=footballsmiley.gif]

Make a bold prediction. Don't just say "Kurt Warner will announce his retirement at the end of the season." That's too easy. Predict something that will have everyone in awe when it actually happens. For example, "Feeling the pressure of a #2 QB with a Super Bowl ring breathing down his neck, Matt Leinart announces that he will retire after this season." Then come back here on Monday or Tuesday and give us all the "I told you so"s. If you're wrong, who will ever remember? [smiley=tonguin.gif]

There are currently four NFL teams (CHI, DEN, SD, & BAL) allowing less than 10 points per game (on average). At the end of week 6, there won't be any.

Kevin Jones will get a rushing TD and 100 yards rushing, and a receiving TD as well.  (But due to his recent concussion, he won't know what they're talking about in the post-game interviews.)

In the battle of Texas, the Texans will beat the Cowboys this week behind TWO Ron Dayne touchdowns. [smiley=ohshit.gif]

Thanks, MC!

But I really could have used that other TD in one of my leagues.  (That match-up isn't over yet, I'm way ahead, but the remaining games put me in some trouble.  ;D )

Thanks for the kind words, all. [smiley=bow.gif] As yous know by now, all is okay here on the home front.  Gino and I "hung" in there. [smiley=hanginin.gif] On Oahu, the main thing we experienced, besides being jostled around a bit, was a serious 16-or-so-hour power outage.  It really just amounted to a big inconvenience for most, not a tragedy.  On the Big Island (Hawaii "proper"), where the quake was epicentered, greater damage was experienced, fallen buildings and such.

You find me one, I'll, for sure, consider it.  Give me choices, and your chances improve... [smiley=wiseguy.gif] Don't tell me what to do, so to speak, (de facto) making more work for me (which I need like a hole in the head (going out and searching for and adding smilies is not the snip-snap thing one might be inclined to think it is, given how I have it set up) [smiley=no.gif])...  Help get it done!!! [smiley=onit.gif] That's "the [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] Gridiron" spirit!!! [smiley=yes.gif] Make it happen, Lees...

We were just joking around again. I had commented in another post about the enormous selection of smileys available at this website. (I love smileys. Thank you.) I'm really not trying to make more work for you!

..........However, now that you mention it.....the smileys in the above link are really, really cute!! [smiley=awwgee.gif]

And they would come in handy for player abductions, such as Michael Turner's.  [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif]
