Gridiron Guarantee is a weekly feature where you get to show off your football knowledge [smiley=graduate.gif] and make a bold prediction concerning any game or player for the coming weekend.

The prediction can be game-related, fantasy-specific, or personal. [smiley=footballsmiley.gif]

Make a bold prediction. Don't just say The Cards will bounce back from a heart-breaking loss with a win over the Raiders. That's too easy. Predict something that will have everyone in awe when it actually happens. For example, After the Cards-Raiders game, Art Shell goes on a tirade, yelling "The Cardinals are who we THOUGHT they were: a bad team with a terrible offensive line and an expensive flop at RB, and we let them off the hook!" Then come back here on Monday or Tuesday and give us all the "I told you so"s. If you're wrong, who will ever remember? [smiley=tonguin.gif]

Not only will the Cards NOT bounce back from a heart-breaking loss with a win over the Raiders (to use Jeff's anti-sample as a prompter), but the Raiders [smiley=skull.gif] coming off a week in which they played a far superior Broncos [smiley=broncofan.gif] team tough will surprise the football world, which is currently throwing a pity party [smiley=itllbeok.gif] for the hapless Cardinals, [smiley=chicken.gif] and beat the Cardinals, and in the process Andrew Walter will steal the show while Matt Leinart will have a VERY pedestrian effort in the face of a fantasy world expecting BIG things from him this week!!!

Now that's bold talk pilgrim.  Look for Leinart to look very good and for the Cardinals to actually finish off an opponent.  I even think the Cardinal Defense may have a good week and could be a good play (not great) but a decent bye week plug-in.

Samkon Gado will put Ron Dayne permanently on the bench as he boosts the Texans non-existant running game to the tune of 100+ all purpose yards and a TD...(maybe two) against a solid Jacksonville defense  ;)

There will be an earthquake less than five minutes into the games.  Power will be lost for the day.  My wife will still, against all odds, have to work the night, though.  And, as people just wander about hangin' out, a 20-something-year-old chick, whose balcony is right behind ours facing ours who I've chatted for a few moments a couple of non-descript times, will show up at my doorstep with a mini-skirt and NO panties and challenge ALL my morals [smiley=goodrevil.gif] in one fell swoop...
