Title: Re: Top Draft Prospects by Position Post by DirkDiggler on Feb 14th, 2007, 1:16pm Couple of observations/questions: think Jarrett's lack of speed will drop in further the draft than the #2 WR. I also believe the hype around Ginn will move him up higher. Also, I would not touch a South Carolina WR. Aren;'t teams going to be scared of Adrian Petersons injuries? I think Lynch will go #1 RB. Where is Troy Smith going to go? And is the guy from Hawaii coming out this year? Thanks for the update..... I at least now have a basis for the info I read. |

Title: Re: Top Draft Prospects by Position Post by Philly on Feb 15th, 2007, 8:37pm First off... this isn't my prediction of what order the players will be selected. This is my opinion of which ones I think are the best prospects. So, with that said... I think Jarrett's size and playmaking ability will outweigh his perceived lack of speed. Ginn is fast, sure, but he's not that good a receiver. Yeah, Peterson's injuries are a bit scary, but he's still the best RB in the draft, by a large margin. Lynch worries me a bit. He's not the best character guy and he was pretty inconsistent last year. Troy Smith will probably be a 4th or 5th round pick. He has a lot of intangibles, but it's the tangibles that need work. Colt Brennan, the QB from Hawaii, decided to return for his senior season. Unless he gets hurt, he won't hurt his stock by returning as he still has an amazing WR corps to throw to next fall. |
