Well, here's hoping you were a very naughty boy this year BW.  (I'm still upset at the Giants D for allowing those easy points to Manning and Harrison at the end of the game and ending my fantasy season on a down note.)  It will be interesting to compare our Week 17 Analyses this week.

As the fantasy season winds down to an end, here we are at Christmas again (and Steg's workin' that lyrical genius ;))...  I wish you all a Christmas and New Year's full of glee and merrymaking.  Gino and I are spending our first Christmas out here in HI and, while the Christmas spirit is here BIG-time, the weather is like... [smiley=palmtree.gif]  For Christmas, honestly, I do miss this, though,... [smiley=snowjob.gif] So, someone, but not necessarily "someone", make sure to make a snowSteg [smiley=snowman.gif] for me.

A brief, though very relevant digression...  I was listening to an interview with one of these "free thinkers" from the "Freedom From Religion" dot org people the other night. [smiley=gimmeabreak.gif] She, the Co-President of the organization, "pointed out" that the existence of God cannot be proven. [smiley=pullleeeeeeeze.gif] I'll leave this with open-ended questions for the time being here tonight.  First off, does she, do they, not realize in stating that what they have de facto reduced their criterion of truth to???  And, do they realize where that leads,... leaves them???  Obviously not!!!  Secondly, do they really not know where one of history's greatest thinkers who took on such a position wound up???  But, as "free" thinkers, they surely know whom I am speaking of, no???  Probably not!!!  But, then, what does that say of these so-called "free thinkers"???  I think we ultimately know... [smiley=dunce.gif] (read, biased mental midgets; and, in putting it that way, I'd like to apologize to little people the world over)...  ...  Anyway, if anybody from either side wants to make a run at these questions, by all means, go for it!!!  I think it would be a good exercise to bring this stuff into the realm of the express...

Well, this is a belated Merry Christmas-and-Happy New Year post all in one for my last post of 2012!  For a whole host of reasons I have been out of pocket here late this season.  But, I am looking forward to the years yet to come in the GBRFL and on "the Gridiron". Given the kind of 2016 my little family had: one of great personal triumphs for Papa Steg [smiley=graduate.gif] and other historically momentous events, but one which has us enduring trying times internally (and this is not to mention, though relevant here, trivial matters like my GBRFL season), it seemed more apropos for once to emphasize the lesser of the two major holidays this holiday season.  Also, 2017 is likely,... hopefully [smiley=pray.gif] to be one of substantial, positive transition for the Stegs!  So, with that said, ....

To think of how different the world still, albeit unbeknownstly, was when I made my last post on this thread,... blissfully ignorant of the thoroughly horrendous year that was to ensue.  Only question, the answer to which we in essence know but will never be known,... [smiley=wiseman.gif] how much of what transpired was for politics,... a politics of hatred, indeed,... and was, worse yet, rewarded,... nay,... abetted... by those unrelentingly peddling in and parroting unending sophomoronic sophistry composed of a level of nonstop gaslighting Gish-gallop [smiley=stars.gif] that would make Socrates's interlocuters blush? [smiley=grinch.gif]  To have had our vision so blurred in 2020, [smiley=threed.gif] what irony,... moreover, by those who are supposed to help us see newsworthy matters clearly,... the insidious double irony! [smiley=ohshit.gif]  'Tis treachery, indeed!  The very people and institutions that are tasked with helping us see through to the truth of a matter have become that which we need to see through in order to see the truth! [smiley=nono.gif]  What gives???  Something has got to...

But, humbug... to all that!  There is a bigger reason [smiley=priest.gif] for the season... [smiley=angel.gif] and a lot of important littler ones too... [smiley=santa.gif]  Someone beating me to the punch [smiley=christmascheer.gif] this Christmas is testament to that.
