Fellas,

I have been out and about prancing around some other FF forums lately. [smiley=dancin.gif] I am SO PROUD [smiley=smurf.gif] to say that "the Gridiron" has like the BEST thread-response rate in the biz (and this forum remains totally free [smiley=zenmaster.gif] ... the rest are not and seem to make that very clear [smiley=greedy.gif] )! [smiley=swollenhead.gif] What I mean is that very few threads here on "the Gridiron" go without a reply. I could only find a measly two threads on the first pages of our three main boards, "the Red Zone", "between the 20's" and "the Sidelines", that did not have at least one reply and those were both on "the Sidelines", the least of the three boards. I also notice that what gets posted on "the Gridiron" tends to be much more meaty/substantive than a lot of what goes up elsewhere. One other particularly important thing, you do not see any redundant threads on "the Gridiron" like you do on other boards. These are not the standards, I will tell you. [smiley=no.gif] There are so many forums out there where threads fall off the first page without being replied to like that {smiley=snappingfingerssmiley.gif} and are chockablock with one-liners, oftentimes mean-spirited, and almost always without substance. [smiley=hellyeafunny.gif] It is commonplace to see a thread covering the same theme/topic as one already up and the admins usually do nothing about it like lock or delete the thread. In comparison, WE are building something special here and I want you all to keep that in your minds... and keep up the good work! [smiley=victory.gif] Thank you so much! [smiley=bow.gif] This one's for you all... [smiley=cheers.gif] Not to mention, we got the most smilies in the business! :D

I agree 100%. I visit a couple other forums and I'm always amazed by the amount of effort people use to be complete assholes. I'll admit that some of it is very funny and can be entertaining at times, but it gets old and I don't waste my time posting at those places.

The Gridiron might not be the biggest, but it's the best. [smiley=bow.gif]

Not to give you a big head [smiley=swollenhead.gif] or anything, but you've done a great job here Steg.

I think you've fostered the right attitude from the beginning and that is evident from the people who frequent the forums. I've never made a request that went unanswered. I don't know how many times I've had to beg for a response on those other boards.

Well, YET AGAIN, you guys have made me proud! [smiley=proudAmerican.gif] Our method of organization and order has once again produced sweet, sweet fruit! [smiley=lickinmychops.gif] With "the Sidelines" reaching 1,000 posts today, all three of the boards of "the Gridiron" forum are into four digits, with a continuation of the VERY nice, EVEN distribution of threads and posts... VERY pleasing to me as the admin 'round here! [smiley=awwgee.gif]
