Title: Some ASS just HAD to nullify Thomas's good act!
Post by StegRock on Jan 15th, 2003, 3:14pm
Remember toward the end of last preseason RB Anthony Thomas [smiley=angel.gif] of the Chicago Bears saved a guy from a burning car.  It was a truly stand-up, selfless [smiley=zenmaster.gif] act.  What a great thing it was for the NFL!  It really shut up a lot of the naysayers who love to rip athletes, especially football players, and the code of ethics they ALL apparently follow. ::) Well, of course, it couldn't last! [smiley=no.gif] Some dickhead [smiley=spcartman.gif] from the Cowboys just went and fucked it all up.  He did almost the exact opposite of what Thomas had done, in the process nullifying the good vibrations that had resonated from Thomas's actions.  Thomas ended last offseason on such a high note with what he did; this jackass Goodrich just had to end it, or start the new offseason (however you see it), with a "bang."  Here is a link to the article:

I've been saying for years that they ought to surround that
stadium with barbed wire. But there is a new warden, er' I mean coach there now. So the rotten ones will be sent packing.
Paroled you might say.

Sorry to upchuck this one!  But, I just could not let this piece slide by...  "Failure to stop and render aid"...  How exactly opposite is this to Thomas's act?
