Title: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by ScreamingWeasel on Jan 15th, 2003, 5:51pm Four teams remaining. You call it. Titans at Raiders. Bucs at Eagles. Who's going to the Super Bowl? And why. |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by ScreamingWeasel on Jan 15th, 2003, 6:03pm TITANS. Despite the fact that Oakland totally dismantled the Jets last week. The Raiders ALWAYS find a way to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory. It's a rule. It's a law of physics. EAGLES. Brad Johnson and Chuckie STILL aren't enough for the TAMPA Bay Bucs to win IN Philly IN January. |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by BarnabyWilde on Jan 15th, 2003, 6:17pm Raiders. Bucs. Raiders pop an extra Geritol to beat McNair and company 28-27. Tampa gets the can't play in cold weather gorilla off their back and wins a hard fought battle 13-10. That's what I think, although I want the Titans and Eagles to win...I don't see it happening. |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by Walker_Boh on Jan 16th, 2003, 1:06am Raiders - They have the best offense in football and remembered how to play in the second half of last week's game. (I'll be rooting for Tennessee) Philly - It's a toss up...The D's are even. The O's are even. Philly is playing at home so I give them the slight edge. (I'll be rooting for Philly) |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by Philly on Jan 16th, 2003, 10:51am Raiders - The team is built to get to the Super Bowl. The experience of the team, top-to-bottom, will prevent them from throwing in a clunker. They got a bit full of themselves early in the season and lost 4 in a row. It was a valuable lesson that has carried them this far. The Titans still have too many question marks. Eagles - Regardless of the fact that the Bucs insist that this game has nothing to do with their previous four losses to the Eagles, it does. It might not even be the mental aspect of the game. It's all about matchups. In the last 4 meetings between the Eagles, Warren "Self-Promoter" Sapp has 1 tackle and 0 sacks. The Eagles can "out-physical" the Bucs defensive front. On the other side of the ball, the Bucs offense, while vastly improved, still has a QB that is susceptible to the big hit, and the Eagles lead the NFL in sacks. Their big, slow receivers are just the type the Eagles love to cover man-to-man. |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by ScreamingWeasel on Jan 16th, 2003, 1:41pm 3-in a row for Eagles/Raiders. Looks like no one, so far, is with me on the Titans. Yea - it don't exactly make a lot on sense - but I'm sticking to my guns. [smiley=shootmyself.gif] LOL. ~SW And ... PhiLLy5-on-it ... love the signature. Great graphic. |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by StegRock on Jan 16th, 2003, 1:54pm Well, in KJ 76's Playoff contest that he is hosting "between the 20's", I had the Titans and the Buccaneers going to the big game. I am not sure how I think now, but the right thing for me to do is stick by my original picks. So, you can put me down for the Titans vs. the Bucs. I think the Titans will win, but I will be rooting for B. J. and the Bucs! ;D |

I changed my picks in this thread because the KJ76 picks were made before the playoffs started and we had to try and guess the outcome of all the games. I had Philly losing at home to the Niners in my original pick, but that game never happened... That doesn't mean that I think Tampa can win. If this game was in Tampa, I'd take Tampa, but it's not, so I'm going with Philly. |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by Keyshawn Johnson 76yards on Jan 16th, 2003, 3:22pm I'm going with Raiders and Bucs. My mind still has not changed. Those were my picks before the playoffs began as well. I am a perfect 8-0 in playoff gambling predictions. (I've beaten the spread on both the Giants/49ers game and the Pittsburgh/Titans game.) I'm a hell of a prognosticator eh? [smiley=gonecrazy.gif] |

Title: Re: Raiders/Titans Eagles/Bucs Post by Bootlegger on Jan 19th, 2003, 9:57am I think the Raiders and Bucs will be in the super bowl, but if that happens, be prepared to listen to a full week of hype, Gruden against the Raiders, it will be equal to the Parcells story when the Pats went in 96, there will be more talk about the coach than the game, just my thoughts |

Congratulation, man. I can't believe how much this team has turned around in the past 4 or 5 years. From worst to first in (1) uniforms (LOL) and (2) the NFC. And maybe in stadiums as well. I mean ... who else has a real endzone pirate ship with cannons shooting t-shirts into the crowd? Congratulations. ~ScreamingWeasel |
