Welcome Sepphoris.  Glad to have you around here.   I hope you have conversations you will be able to partipate in.  A good portion of us are in keeper leagues, so this is a very exciting time of the year.

I am not sure about playing in a league together.  I haven't played in many others besides the GBRFL (and the CBFL if you can call that playing).  I remember I ran a team named the Little Old Ladies (LOL) [smiley=laugh.gif] in some league back in '97 or '98.  Could that have been it?  Anyway, "Gridiron" league discussion has been brewin' "between the 20's"!  Here is the thread to reference:

Sepphoris--

Looked at your league, and specifically your team.  I assume you can start any combination RB/WR as long as they tally 5 total.  That is a nice rule considering how pathetic your running back corp was.  I see you finished 10-6.  

I  assume you are gonna keep Portis and Moss.  Is Pennington the 3rd?   Or are you one of those people who likes Coles a lot?

Would you keep Coles over Penn. my Picks are #12 and #14 in the 1st RD.  Every RD I pick @ #14 No reverse RDs. This balances our league yr in & yr out. It's supposed to anyway. i always make the playoffs. Only twice I haven't. Lost back to back Superbowls in 1999 and 2000. We had 16 Teams untill last year. Dropped to 14. Kicked out my wife, and a deadbeat owner.

Dirk you can't start more than 2 RB's. You have to start atleast 1 RB. WR/TE is really where the flexabilty is. TE's are mandatory, so you can start either 3 WR or 4.  You also have the option to start 2RB 2WR 2TE. Altogether we have 4 line-up options. It helps during those bye-weeks we all hate so much.

On my site, check out the Schedule by Week thread.
Weeks 14-16 are our playoffs and Bowl. Week 17 is a bonus total pt week. Same line-up options, I won that too. Needless to say people were pissed.

Welcome to the Gridiron... I can see already you are the type of person we want here.  Intelligent, interesting topics are the norm here.

There may be a smart-ass reply once in awhile here, but it is all good-natured, and generally only directed to someone we know can take it and dish it right back.

But you'll find, most of all, lots of research and educated speculation (except for Steg's whole Ron Dayne argument, but that is another thread...) here.

I know I'll enjoy it here.  My user name @ The Other Place is RodriGue.  Anyway Sepphoris is the former name of The City of Galley. It was named Sepphoris during the time of Christ. Trust me I'm no religous freek. The story is that things they find there are contradicting to things in the Bible. Pretty interesting. I'll post a link sometime on it. Gotta get some food. I gotta' be honest.  I have never had a problem with the dude.  He is not someone who I recall giving me shit back when I first opened "the Gridiron" and made a few posts plugging it over at another site that he frequents.  Generally, I have found his posts to be the kind of stuff we want on "the Gridiron", informative (fantasy) football-wise and well-thought-out.  In any case, I look forward to seeing what his first post here will be like. I told him about your email and your site. He has alot of great pts to add. I'm sure he'll get along fine. He has had problems w/ people bashing him because he is a HUGE Ricky Williams fan :-*. Good idea to check your baggage in and not carry it on when boarding "StegRock's Air Gridiron"! Sep, NO, I definitely do not want to delete this whole thread.  It is a GOODIE!  Lots of good discourse.  As for changing the "topic", just click on "Modify".  It is in the upper righthand part of every message one makes himself, i.e., it is only viewable to the guy who created the post (and the moderators and admin of the forum, of course).  From there, you can just "Edit" the "Subject" line and click "Save".  BUT, whatever, no worries on this one!  It was just with the combination of Bouve's, it was getting to be a little much with the "FFToday, FFToday" shit.  Bouve, who, by the way, is just fine by me, has successfully changed his "Subject", so I think that is sufficient.  Frankly speaking, I like the way you worded yours, actually, so leave it alone.  You are kind of giving a "stiff arm" on your way on to "the Gridiron"! ;D Thanks!
