FourTwoOh, I just learned something very interesting tonight. Yes, I watch "CSI: Miami"! What is the meaning behind your handle, "FourTwoOh"? Is it THE meaning? And, if so, why would you give yourself such a name? What is the purpose of that symbolism? Or, do you NOT want to divulge/discuss any of this? Hmmmm...

4:20 equals pot smoking time. 4/20/xx equals pot smoking day of days. I was about to turn 42 at the time I needed a new handle somwhere else. Which elicited an "oh my" type of feeling. So it was simply one of my passions that had a nice dual meaning to it.

What did CSI say it was?

Accounts of where the 420 pot reference was born is widely disputed. I tend to believe the story that places it's roots with a group of early 70's high schoolers from southern California, the city name escapes me, got together after school at a specific park to light up.

The most popular wrong one has it as 420 is the section of California penal code that applies to pot laws. Not true.

Bottom line, who knows? II personally have only been aware of any cannabis connection to 420 since the mid to late 90's. It is 100% ingrained as a pot smoking staple now.

Just googled 420 +cannabis +origin and this wraps it up pretty well.
