Title: NFL coming to L.A. Post by StegRock on Jun 11th, 2003, 6:59pm Here is the relevant quote currently atop "The REAL Feed": "NFL meets with Pasadena officials NFL.com (11.06.2003 18:44) Pasadena officials are optimistic they will get an NFL team for the Rose Bowl after meeting with league officials in New York to discuss the city's proposal." And, here is further corroboration from a local source available on "the Gridiron Newsstand": http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/stories/F/FBN_NFL_PASADENA?SITE=CAPAS&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT. I do not know the geography of Cali that well! [smiley=lost.gif] They say this move would bring a team back to the L.A. area, but, really, how close are Pasadena and specifically where the Rose Bowl is to Los Angeles? Would this team become the team representing Los Angeles? Or, would they represent Pasadena? [smiley=whatever.gif] |

Title: Re: NFL coming to L.A.... by way of Pasadena? Post by Walker Boh on Jun 11th, 2003, 7:55pm Pasadena is just north of LA... we're talking like 10 minutes (of course it could take 2 hours in traffic... >:() For people who live in California and know the area, they're definitely two different places, but for the rest of the world "LA" will work just fine. |

Agreed. I wonder if they will have some throwback Jersey for marketing purposes..... I am sick of teal and fuschia and crappy colors. While I am on a rant....I hate the new uniforms. Too slick. And then there is Detroit. They hype a big uniform change. What did they do? Add an OUTLINE of black. ohhh ahhh..... |
