My fellow fantasy-footballing fanatics, [smiley=awwgee.gif] what's up with this? What's up with this "NFL Live"... no more "NFL 2 Night"? For that matter, what happened to Mark Malone? I liked him as a host.

But, I digress... For those of you interested in the history and evolution of things 'round here, perhaps you GBRFL2ers, the George Blanda Rotisserie Football League originally, originally, even before the "History" page at the GBRFL site indicates, was the Mark Malone League (of the Armchair Sports Group). This dates back to the 1989 and 1990 seasons, Malone's first two years of retirement, eh-hem, of unceremoniously being out of ball (not that he had much "ball" in him to begin with [smiley=rollinwithlaughter.gif] ), and we chose that league name being tongue-and-cheek.

Anyway, did he take the name of the show with him somewhere else? I'm not into this hackneyed "NFL Live" jive! :P "NFL 2 Night" (on ESPN2) was cool! [smiley=groove.gif]

As best I know, NFL Live is what it has become. Sorry ass replacement, but I could live with never seeing Stuart Scott again anyway.

Does anybody happen to know where Mark Malone is peddling his services nowadays? I really thought he was an excellent NFL show host/commentator.

YES, it was Mark Malone! The game just ended and I heard him say who he was as he signed off. I was waiting on bated breath... and am evidently talking to myself here! [smiley=gonecrazy.gif]

Well, at least that mystery is somewhat solved, even if I was the only one paying attention. What happened with NFL 2 Night and Malone's doing that kind of show still remain mysteries to me, though. [smiley=shrug.gif]

Steg, I have seen Malone doing the news on ESPNews. At first I couldn't figure out what was up, then read this post and realized that NFL2night was no longer a program. >:(
