Welcome to the Gridiron.  We're not the biggest forum around, but I'm willing to bet we're the best.  Lots of good people here who are interested in the sport -- not flaming or trashing others.

Anyway, make sure you read the descriptions of each board so you know where to post things.  Steg runs a pretty tight ship here, but it makes the site one of the more informative and relevant FF boards out there.

WELCOME, friend! [smiley=bow.gif] I'm glad you found this place and I hope you get as much enjoyment out of it as many of us do.  Really like that handle, by the way!  VERY straightforward! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

However, as king turd on poop mountain 'round these parts [smiley=smileytrash.gif] , I'm going to have to move this thread to where it should be based on our board descriptions.  So as to keep the site easily navigable by all and make information easy to locate, we like to maintain an organized environment.  A thread of this kind is JUST PERFECT for "the Sidelines".  That's where your thread here will be.  This is ultimately not a big deal 'round here as we have automatic move notices. ;D

Again, thank you for joining and ENJOY!

My bad, I have not found to many good sites that aren't full of flamers.

My wife told me about this site actually and I thought I would check it out. She works for Rue Studio in Toms River, said that someone called in and told her about it.

So I did and so far it looks good.

THANKS for the kind words, friend, and for being "understanding" about the thread move (for understanding and appreciating the thread move)!

Guys, by the way, that's Toms River, New Jersey.  I was in the market for a photographer (gotta little somethin' in the works for December... [smiley=hmmmm.gif] ... Gino (Steg's wife) is at last (and alas) coming to town and we never had a "ceremony" on this side of the planet, only one in Korea,... so...) and I spoke to this fella's wife.  She said her husband was a die-hard football/Steelers fan and fantasy football fanatic, so, well,... Steggie spoke up! ;D It's so great that she followed through and then he followed through.  Very inspiring! [smiley=bow.gif]

Great! A Steeler fan. Maybe you will take over the role of producing the Steeler Analysis. I'm To depressed to do it.

I probably just as depressed as you are. And after the Monday night beat down I think it is pretty much over. They have to run the table and hope for others in the division to lose, which actually could happen but I think there are just to many holes right now.

There aren't to many DB's in the NFL that can cover T.Owens man to man, so why the Steelers D Cord. thought Chad Scott could is beyond my belief.

The "d"  has struggled for many years. It's just that the Steelers are a Rhythm, momentum type team. If you look back to the quote of the prolific Wayne Gandy. You would see he called this. The only difference is that maddox is still healthy. Those guys would get on a roll and get a turnover, cause teams to panic a little. Really put pressure on teams. Teams are too comfortable playing them now.
PS
1.   This is not because of the head coach. Its pesonnel. If you are to slow and not physical enough.... Get better players.
2.   Now how much did they save by offing Flowers and Gandy. Flowers was slow, but he was a big hitter. Yes there was the roid thing, but he still fit that system. With Flowers..Turnovers....Without Flowers....No turnovers

Yes I remember that, in fact letting Gandy walk was a terrible move. I liked Flowers a lot to but that buy gave up a lot of passing yards last season, I think I read some where that the number of yards they accounted him for was around 1,500.

I don't think the D has been that awful, just the past two season. The corners (Scott & Washington) are just slow. But we need more big plays on D, there is no doubt about it.

The O-Line is starting the play better but that killed us in the beginning. I was at the Rams game and watched Todd Fordham get spun around like a revolving door by a DE.
