PAYTON NEVER AGREES; RE-SIGNS WITH COWBOYS
Jay Glazer, of SportsLine.com, reports Dallas Cowboys assistant head coach Sean Payton has turned down the Oakland Raiders head coaching job and re-signed with the Cowboys. Despite reports that Payton had agreed to a four-year, $5 million deal to become the new head coach, no such agreement was ever reached. As of Tuesday, Jan. 20, financial terms had yet to even be discussed.
