Gents... and Ladies, especially those of you who spend a good amount of time surfing [smiley=surfing.gif] the net, I got something fairly BIG brewin' for this offseason/the '05 season and need/would REALLY appreciate some help with the "ground-work". Let's say, if I could get just three people to help me with this, it would be about a one-hour job for each of us rather than a (fairly tough) four-hour job :P for me (which is not out of the realm of possibility I wouldn't be able to get around to in time, causing the whole project to tank [smiley=no.gif]), and, of course, the more, the merrier,... the more dudes we got workin' it, the more we can reduce (uh-oh, oxymoron alert [smiley=joker.gif]) the amount of time anyone has to spend! Teamwork is the key to our success here on "the Gridiron"! It is the way to take things on "the Gridiron" up a notch and to the next level. SO, if you got a little time you can spend giving me a hand with this, LET ME KNOW HERE!!! LET ME KNOW NOW!!! Thank you. [smiley=bow.gif]

ANYWAY, PLEASE respond if you've got the time and want to help "the Gridiron" grow! This is a VERY important project and what I need you all to help me with here is not at all intensive. It should be a snap for any of you who spend a decent amount of time on the net (moreover, surfing FF sites).

If you still NEED additional people for this project, let me know. You know I'm always available to do stuff here, even if I'm not available. However, this draft website thing is kicking my tail right now (along with a plethora of work/family issues). I'd prefer to keep working on the draft stuff and let some other people step up to the plate, but if you need me... you know where to find me.

You do WAY MORE than your share already, Jeff. Thank you for as usual stepping up and offering [smiley=bow.gif] (and I will keep your offer in the back of my mind), but even if it is just the four of us (Steve, Jim, Tony and me), :-/ that should be good enough. That having been said, this is NOT a very intense project; actually it is going to be rather,... get this,... FUN [smiley=ohshit.gif] (who'd a thunk) and DEFINITELY difference-making, and I would REALLY like others to step up and become part of the greater "effort" here on "the Gridiron".

Well, the "greater project" hasn't. But, I sure hope the grad student here who is going into five-digits of debt by the year isn't looking at having to foot the four-digit bill to get this thing off the ground. But, that the co-op mindset hasn't manifest here is surely dismaying and affects how I think about the future of the place. Anyway, that's the bad news. That wasn't too bad (for you guys). The good news for you all (though it is bad for the ultimate goal of all this) is that you all now have until May 8th to get me your lists. The goal was to have this done before I start rounding third base for the semester and final papers and exams starting kicking in. Well, that evidentally hasn't/ain't going to happen. So, you all now have a ton of time to get this done: you have until May 8th. This is going to hurt our chances of getting sponsors. Alas, somehow, though, I'll make it happen.

Since this is the case, I am probably going to try to garner some assistance with the next (totally crucial) step of the process. That is going to be a significantly more high-maintenance job, though, and given how this has gone, what it took to get just four people to volunteer and then what has been accomplished to "get the job done",... I am not getting my hopes up.

I just hope that everybody understands and keeps their curious (probing-my-wallet) questions to themselves if/when I start having to make a serious play for donations come May, which, by the way, is also the time most of the regular (ever-increasing) bills around this place come due.

I apoligize for my efforts up to this point. I was selling my old house and buying a new one. The inspections, paper sigings, etc added to my crazy work schedule, plus the "family" trip to Disneyland, and then pile on the rather large "honey - do" list from my wife on our new house has has burried me and my spare time. I will pick up my slack soon.

I want to thank Philly a.k.a. Jeff West for making time in his busy schedule to help out with this CRUCIAL project. He was in DC on business this week and we met up last night. I was telling him what needs to be done with this and he, like he so often does, immediately stepped up and offered his assistance. He is excellent about following through on his word and I am thankful to have him helping out.

If ANYBODY else who HAS JUST A LITTLE SPARE INTERNET-SURFING TIME wants to lend a hand, PLEASE, by all means, let me know. This is VERY IMPORTANT!

I am coming out of my off-season hiatus and would like to at least hear what this is all about. I am always excited about new ideas/plans/goings-on, even when I am not around. :)
