sameoldsameold, sexydexy or anybody else who happens to know,... when are games aired in Hawaii? I am guessing that Sunday games are aired live, i.e. starting early Sunday morning. Is that right? And, what about Monday and Thursday night games, most notably the season-opening Thursday night game?

Sundays are always live at 7 am and 10 am until DST kicks in and then they start at 8 am and 11 am.

Monday Night games are tape delayed so they start at 6:30 PM HST (12:30 EST). As fantasy junkies, sometimes SOSO and I watch the gamecast on nfl.com and then watch the plays later...even though we know the score.

As far as Thursday goes...I was in Florida last year for the season opening Thursday game so I'm not sure what happened in Hawaii.

But I know that everything else except for Monday Night Football is aired live.

only way to catch monday night football live is go to a bar....

Thursday Games start midday i believe...and are live....so should start according to time zone difference

Thanks, Jus, Dex! [smiley=bow.gif] Further question, guys,... anyone else who "hails Hawaii" (double-entendre intended), what's up with ESPN2 coming in so fuzzy? I get Oceanic Time-Warner Cable here where I am and ESPN2 comes in like poop. Do you guys experience that, too? Do you have any clue about what might be up with that? All the other channels are fine. It is just ESPN2, thank God... It's not ESPN.

Are you using an analog cable box, an antenna, or just a regular cable hook up?

Only time I've really experienced this problem is if I'm next to a mountain (in a valley, which you might be in if you're in Manoa) on an analog box or if I'm using an antenna.

It's a regular cable hook-up. That's what makes it so puzzling. I've never with cable (in my home) had a channel that wasn't "cable quality". One thing to note, however, the cable connection came with the place. It's a basic cable "hotel-type" hook-up, and I suppose in my life I have visited hotels where a channel here or there wasn't of good quality. [smiley=shrug.gif]

By the way, Dex, we are not up in Manoa Valley (unfortunately... in a way; it's BEAUTIFUL up there, BUT it is where we are as well), so mountains shouldn't be the issue, I think.

Update, fellow islanders... As it turns out, ESPN2 and Fox News Channel (and who knows what else) are not part of the basic cable package for Oceanic Cable. So, for now, that's that for that. Actually, ESPN2 is "watchable" if "need" be.

Well, we're gettin' tape delay here. I'm avoiding "the Gridiron Newsstand" & "The REAL Feed", NFL.com, ESPN and the news like the plague.

Yes, but it sucks on Thursday and Monday nights......

I personally don't mind the tape-delay. Remember I spent SEVEN football seasons in South Korea. Want to talk about "suck"... :P Anyway, I like the fact that I'm living this "early" lifestyle here as opposed to the late-night one I had become accustomed to for SO MANY years.

It should be part of your run-of-the-mill "nights and weekends" cell-phone plan/it should run the same as any other out-of-state, long-distance phone call.
