Title: Official Hawai'i Earthquake Thread Post by Philly on Nov 23rd, 2006, 8:37pm I guess we need this thread now that these are becoming a fairly regular occurrence. Since the Thanksgiving Shaking took place at roughly the same place and to a lesser magnitude this time, is it safe to assume that no harm was done? |

Title: Re: Official Hawai'i Earthquake Thread Post by StegRock on Nov 23rd, 2006, 9:24pm Holy smokes, Jeff, your post here confirms what I thought [smiley=thinking.gif] ... [smiley=idontknow.gif] I thought happened earlier today!!! I've been knee-deep in paper writing (and, to a degree, GBRFLeagues stuff) and haven't been paying attention. ... YES, we did have tremors earlier today. They were a jolt, BUT went away quickly. The rumbling didn't continue for too long, nothing of the magnitude of five or whatever weeks ago, and, no, thankfully, there has been no hubbub here on O'ahu, at least. I just thought it might have been a big-rig going down University Ave. or something. I'll have to tune into the news... [smiley=threed.gif] Something's surely abrewin' [smiley=madashell.gif] [smiley=evil.gif] [smiley=fumin.gif] under the soil out here in the middle of the Pacific... [smiley=scared.gif] |
