Title: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 16th, 2007, 4:52pm We were lookin' SOOOOO good!!! Still basically are... BUT, since I'm not a great picker of games, I've been letting my good-[smiley=shamrock.gif]-luck sweetie wife [smiley=boobies.gif] pick the games, and then I go through them and change anything I "REALLY" don't like... I mean... she ultimately has no clue what she's doing. Korean girl... doesn't even know what's going on. [smiley=shrug.gif] Although, she's REALLY been having A LOT of fun with this. [smiley=havinablast.gif] I digress... It's allowing us to enjoy football, a hobby, together. In any event, I changed all of four games,... INCLUDING HER PICK OF CLEVELAND TO CINCY... [smiley=bawling.gif] BUT, look at THIS... [smiley=frustrated.gif] ... [smiley=doh.gif] ... [smiley=shootmyself.gif] However, do PLEASE keep your... [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif] |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 16th, 2007, 4:58pm As it stands right now,... we are in a three-way tie for fourth (i.e., or seventh, depending on how you want to look at it)... |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 16th, 2007, 11:44pm At the end of today,... but not really at the end of the day, ;) HERE is where things stand... [smiley=booya.gif] In the end, my changes to Gino's picks were a wash. I switched her picks of Cleveland and Oakland, but I also switched her picks of the New York Jets and San Diego. The only "situation" we have now is that Gino's score projections for the tie-break aren't good. We've just got to pray that this guy took the Redskins tomorrow night, and the Eagles, who WE have, WIN. [smiley=zenmaster.gif] This would be a major shot in the arm to things around here... [smiley=yes.gif] SEND YOUR GOOD ENERGY, Gridironers and Gridironettes!!! [smiley=hippy.gif] |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 17th, 2007, 3:10am Thanks for the well wishes, O4l! [smiley=bow.gif] ... Guys and gals,... QUESTION,... since picks can be made right up until around 5 minutes before kickoff or something,... on Monday night, who would YOU take, the favorite Eagles giving 7.0 points or the underdog Redskins getting that 7.0 points??? PLEASE RESPOND, EVERYBODY!!! In the least, I'm curious... [smiley=nervous.gif] |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by Oakland4life on Sep 17th, 2007, 3:56am Me, I picked the Eagles in my work pool with the spread. And used 42 as my tie-breaker (28-14). Mcnabb and Co. I believe are having their "coming out" party tomorrow night. No better way than to shut up the naysayers (or prove them right) then on Monday Night. So, that's what "I'm" betting on ;) Good luck tomorrow [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif] |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by Philly on Sep 17th, 2007, 10:39am Go with the Birds, giving the points. They're at home, against a division rival on MNF, coming off a loss (in a game they should have won except for 2 punt return muffs). I would put the total points somewhere in the 40-50 range. |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by DirkDiggler on Sep 17th, 2007, 1:06pm Trying not to be a homer, I think you have to take the Eagles and give the 7. With Jansen down, the Redskins O-line is going to have a hard time giving Campbell time. I think the Eagles will win by 10. Final score: Eagles 27- Redskins 17. (I guess that would be 44 points) |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 17th, 2007, 3:12pm Anybody else??? One point of clarification, the tie-breaks have already been determined. You choose total score for the first two Sunday games of the week. Gino put 35 total points in for the Texans-Panthers game... :-/ and 24 for the Browns-Bengals game... [smiley=yikes.gif] The only good news, sort of, i.e. "relatively speaking", is that it defaults to the second game only if we tie the first, i.e., only if the other dude also picked 35 (or, I suppose, 75) for the first game. So, bottom line, the only REAL chance we have is if the Eagles win by more than 7 AND the other dude took the Redskins. [smiley=pray.gif] I could change that pick, though... :-/ I mean, the point is, if we think our opponent also went with the Eagles, the ballsy move would be to go with the Redskins... [smiley=thinking.gif] Whatchyas thinkin'??? |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 17th, 2007, 4:43pm Fellas,... time is really a dwindling here and I am at work, so I can't be monitoring this constantly... Does anybody have any further take here? Or, should we just leave well enough alone and hope for the best??? |

Title: Re: SportsFeed.com Contest... Post by StegRock on Sep 18th, 2007, 5:46pm The other guy had taken the Redskins. So, we had the right pick in place. If the Eagles had won by 8, we would've won $1,000. Oh, well... No such luck... :-/ |
