Were there any offseason trades made this year that I missed?  And, what about protection spots; everybody's even with them, right?  Let me know, guys!

No, not everyone is even with Prot Spots... here's a thread with the list of draft picks and Prot Spots for each owner:
http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=99;a ction=display;num=1173213626

There haven't been any offseason trades. The last trade occurred back in November.

The only problem I see with the draft list is that both Ray and Rob are showing 10 picks somehow??

Ah, yes... that's why I post it and ask people to verify it. Ray sent his 3rd and 4th round picks to Rob in return for a Protection spot.

Rob's list is correct. Ray's list will be fixed to indicate the loss of those 2 draft picks.

Thanks MC!

I just got done updating you all's "Rosters", "Results", "Standings" and "Transactions" pages over at the league site.  The home page of the site, as well as the "History" page, has also been updated.

...

I'm just going to lay something on the line here...  The donations to the site this year have been TERRIBLE.  If you haven't yet made a donation this year (or ever) and/or signed on over at StegsList.com, please consider doing so.  It'll make me more enthusiastic about the "work" I do for this league.  Here are links to follow:

http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/donate.htm,

and/or

http://www.stegslist.com.

Thank you for your anticipated "consideration" (in both senses of the word)!

Just as a "perspectivizer",... here is a very nice private message I received lately... from a hefty donor and StegsList.com-er, mind you.  It regards what goes into making things happen on "the Gridiron" and with the GBRFLeagues specifically... that users might be inclined to take for granted...  I'm quoting this anonymously.  If the author wants to speak up, that's up to him...
Quote:
I thought it might save you a little time (setting up some threads).  It really opened my eyes to how long these things take if you want to do them right.  I triple checked everything and I believe I got them set up properly.

The paradox is... the more you chip in, the MORE you realize and come to appreciate ALL that goes into this place.

Stop for a second and think about returning the favor,... a favor which, mind you, helps move the site forward.

Thanks for the work you do brother. I appreciate the hard work and time put into this website.

Bar none....THIS IS MY #1 STOP IN ALL OF FANTASY FOOTBALL. I visit several sites and have never found anything else that is so interactive, creative, or just outright fun like The Gridiron is. This site is head and antlers above the rest. Please see my personal IM I sent to you.   And thanks again!!

Thanks, MC...  Just to hammer this in,... as if..., I just now collected and will be responding to your PM because I've spent the time betwixt your message and now, the last four hours to be exact, doing "behind the scenes" work,... of which you can witness the fruits if you go to "the Gridiron" index page and see how far our member count has dropped... Point being, I'm guessing you sent me that PM thinking I was "here here",... but really I was "not here here".  I was "here... behind the scenes" hammering away.

Anyway, StegsList.com info comin' atchya shortly...

Hi ya Gridders,
When will the line up submittion page be open for week one. Since its a short week and an Thursday NFL start, I'm looking to squeeze time to enter my starters. Some people (the N.U.G) (new useless girl)May need a little extra time to get it right.

I DIGRESS...
"Rank does not confer privilege or give power. It imposes responsibility."

You see...  The problem with that is that its logical implication, its corollary, is that the lower one is in rank the less responsibility they have.  YIKES!!!  Though it is indubitably bleeding upwards, that's actually the root of the problem in a "democratic" America today.  We see this exemplified very much so in the "wild west" that is the cyberworld and, frankly speaking, here on "the Gridiron".  If you think it through, your quote there is actually more applicable/better applied to monarchical or socialist societies.  In those systems, it bleeds downwards.

True enough Stegger

But, I'm not actually trying to delve so deeply into societal issues as I am stating that as a man of some rank myself, I take this as my personal M.O. This saying is on my locker at work...I look at it often and it reminds me that I am responsible for 8 or 9 other guys here at work. And not just as a man who gives direction because he is in charge, but a man who shows direction by example...and humbly at that!

.......so , let me put it this way, and I do have this on the HIGHEST AUTHORITY

........For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required; and of him to whom men entrust much, they will require and demand all the more. Luke 12:48 AMP

The lineups submission section has been turned over.  Lineups for Week 1 may now be submitted.  They are due by the kickoff of Thursday night's game.  Have fun!!!

REMEMBER lineups, free-agent requests, etc. are due by kickoff TONIGHT!!!  I will almost definitely NOT be in a position to monitor things and turn the system over right at kickoff (I'll be at work).  So, any lineups submitted after 8:30 WILL BE DISCARDED!!!  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Hey guys!  League question.  If I trade someone one of my FA picks for the week, are they then allowed to make 3 moves or is there a limit of two per week?

I've turned over the lineups section so you can now view others' lineups (and not submit your own).  I unfortunately will not be getting around to transactions until the weekend.  But, you can see the free-agent requests on everybody's lineups pages and deduce things yourself if you are anxious.  Thank you for your anticipated patience.

...

Yes, Jeff, please do do that, at least until further notice, brother.  Thanks!
