You know, Steg, you are right.   That was a pain last year with the amount of time it took to go from pick to pick.  Hopefully this year it will go a little faster!

Maybe we can all agree to a set time when we are all logged on.  After the first few rounds we are really drafting to fill out our rosters so it should go quickly.

Steg, how do you guys run your draft?

It's done live at a Jersey shore sports bar for those in the vicinity.  Usually, seven or eight of the guys from Virginia up to northern New Jersey are in attendance.  For the rest, our guys in Colorado and Florida, it's live via cell phone.  Then, afterwards, we usually go out for a night on the town.  The last couple years it's been to Dave & Buster's in Philadelphia.

Actually, you guys probably have enough of a core in this region that maybe, just maybe, it could be a consideration to do both drafts on the same day side-by-side. Just a thought!  It could be a real GBRFL festival!  You guys would, however, have to be a) flexible and b) patient as, as per recent posts I've made on the GBRFL board and as many of you probably are aware by just knowing my general life circumstances, we won't be setting a firm date until I am "settled" on things, if such a term is really even applicable to "the Rock".

More realistically, I suppose, this is a GREAT alternative!

I wouldn't be able to make a live draft, however I think it is an awesome idea!  Even if only half the guys make it, the other half could communicate via phones and live is the way to go.

As I am one of the guys in the Jersey area, a live draft would work great for me.  However, I recognize that guys like Jeremy, Jim, Kirk, Tony, and Jamie would have no chance to get here and that is a very important core of the league.

So maybe another message board draft will be necessary (unless we can arrange one in the chat room).

Just a general heads up regarding the draft. The sooner I know when the better, as it will increase the odds of my being able to arrange being home for it. Can and will work it on the road with a combo of lists and a truck stop or two, but being at home, for at least a majority of it, would obviously be prefered.

Is it improper CB etiquette to say "Breaker, Breaker, 1.1, Eli Manning?"

Interestingly enough, I don't have, nor want, a CB. Bunch a trash talkin' and not a whole lot else. Odds of getting a straight answer to a question? Maybe 20-30%. A laptop, cellphone, and the satelitte computer that is part of the truck cover me just fine. Although I do miss out on the prostituion chatter.

Based on Kirk's and my very conflicting kind of circumstances, a live draft with the GBRFL is likely out of the question for this year.  I would proceed planning an on-line draft and, better yet, in the chatroom.  Good luck hammering it out!

The "History" page at the site has been updated.  Between the two leagues, we now have 211 years of fantasy football experience!

A las, at the league site, the "Rosters" page has been updated, including with your NEW team numbers, and the "Draft" button on the "Transactions" page has been updated.  Enjoy!

My roster page, for some reason, still shows the pre draft rosters. Anyone else having this issue?

Very strange. Mine shows the new team numbers ( I am now 7) but it still shows us in the previous order and it  only shows the rosters prior to the draft.

Holy, hell!  What are you talking about?  You are Team 5 and everybody's rosters are just hunky-dory.  The page is 100% A-Okay:

What you wrote there, bro, does not correspond with any reality?

"Lineups" can now be submitted via the site.  The system has been turned over. I am now going to send out (user names and) passwords by private message here on "the Gridiron" to those who indicated on the other thread they forgot theirs.

I have tried everything I can think of, and still can't see the updated rosters. I even rebooted the damn computer. I will see what it's like when I get to work in a few hours. I remember way back when I could not see the light bulbs when Steg first changed them on the front page, so maybe it will take a few days. Beat's me.

That could be it, Jim.  But, usually, that only applies to graphics, not text and such.
