Alright... let's get this puppy started.

Everyone coming back for another year?

Anyone know dates that absolutely won't work for a draft?

I'm not available August 17-23 (unless I get a new job in the meantime, which is quite possible).

I am coming back. I should not have any scheduling conflicts outside of having to run off for an   emergency if I happen to be at work during the draft.

In again - and no known draft conflicts.  That should hold.

I'm looking forward to building a team with actual starting quarterbacks and as few Donkos as possible.

As far as the draft goes, I need to do it on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night, as I work Thur-Sun swings. Anytime on the weekend during the day is fine too.

Protection Lists Due: August 11, 2008
Draft Lottery: August 18, 2008

Draft Date: August 25, 2008 @ 8:00 PM EST - During the SD/SEA preseason game.

Just checked and both drafts (2006 and 2007) started at 7:00 PM officially, although there were picks made in advance of the starting time and I would imagine that would be the case this year too.

I have no problem with an earlier start, but I was trying to be considerate of our west coasters who might have to work on a Monday afternoon.

Are you really trying to plan your bedtime this far in advance? Listen, to be fair, I understand we're going to have conflicts in trying to schedule a draft, but a sleep conflict? That seems like a fairly easy one to let slide for one night.   <--I've got four cents to your two.

As of right now, those dates work for me! However, I might be tired that night and we may have to reschedule!

NO!.. ..Its the 5:00am get up time that I'm trying to account for! It may even be a little earlier than that as I may have to get an early start on the Advil to rid myself of the headache from banging my head on the desk waiting for Callie and Ken   to sift through pages of cheat sheets looking for that 9th round "Diamond in the rough" at 12:30 am. Purhaps the best plan   is for me to package my 8th, 9th and 10th picks with a player to move up in this draft so I can go to bed when I want.

I guess your right! There are many out there that would say It seems as if I have slept through every draft so far! Why change now?

My last pick in the 2007 draft was 5.01...    I got plenty of sleep after that draft, but very little once the season started.

...and don't think you're the only one getting up at 5:00 AM.

Yeah?  Well, then I'm not sharing my cheat sheets with you again this year.  So there.

ETA:  Those dates and times are OK with me.

I don't remember anyone taking a particularly long time last year. It's easy enough to go back through the draft thread and look at the post times to see.

Honestly, I'm just throwing a time/date out there to start discussion. I'm OK with just about any start time.

Just thought I'd throw something against the wall and see if it would stick. Things have been very quiet around this league, so I thought I'd try to shake things up a bit. It's not like either one of us is making much hay in the deuce.
