Are we putting up any of the league rules up for discussion?  I really think we need to give the top seeded teams a playoff advantage.

DD,
What do you now do for the top seeded teams? In the SBFFL, the top two teams get a first round bye. This guarantees they get a fair share of the end pot. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents...

Welll.....everyone makes the playoffs.  Our playoffs are the NFL playoffs.  So we hold a draft with the #1 seed getting first pick-#8 seed with last pick.  Every year it seems a bottom team wins.
So, I propose we make the first round heavily in favor of the top teams.  Top seed get two picks, then second seed two picks, etc....  this will make it VERY VERY hard for the bottom teams to advance.....(as it should be)

On Superbowl weekend, we hold another draft with the two teams remaining choosing players from the super bowl teams.

Well, if you remember the original plan from two years ago, I wanted to create the second league in order for the playoffs to be competitive - ie 4 teams from each league make it, and 4 don't.  This, of course, fell through by popular vote.

I've wanted to expand the advantage for the higher seeds - as you know I've suggested double rounds for the playoff draft, but couldnt get a strong enough response to justify anything too drastic in that regard.

Is this worth putting up for discussion again on the NAFFLIU list, or do you have a new suggestion?

Put it up again......

By the way, who the heck won the playoffs?  I had to go out of town when my father passed and was totally out of the `loop.

My sincere condolances on the loss of your father, by the way.

All the info is on the web page.  Dan Jacobs won the AL [you must be thrilled].

I'll suggest double rounds again for the entire draft.  Will send out an emali during the summer, but with your support here I can be a bit more resolute about pressing the need for it.

Thanks, Steve,
