Today, after first corresponding about 11 years ago well before "the Gridiron" was even a thought, when it was just the GBRFL league site and the FFLA (Fantasy Football League Alliance), I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of finally meeting Morris Cohen, soon-to-be Dr. Cohen, the founder of the NAFFLIU and Stanford student of Engineering for the past 10 years (Bachelor's through Master's and on to Ph.D.).  We have been trying to arrange this meeting for a few months now.  I did NOT want to leave town and miss this, perhaps, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet this old fantasy football, internet buddy.  The NAFFLIU went on hiatus last year and may not recover/return.  But, in any event, Morris is a class act, an engaging, super chap.  The convo was fantastic and the tour he gave me of the Stanford campus was wonderful.  Of note, he made a point to show me the famed conservative think tank located on the Stanford campus, the Hoover Institute (Go DU!!!  Go Condi!!!). Getting out of Dodge here without meeting him would have been a sin!  I'm so glad I didn't commit it! It was great meeting you, Morris!

Steve,

Thanks for coming by, it was nice to meet you in person after so many years of corresponding via this "electronic" stuff.

I can assume that others on this board have corresponded a lot with you either on these chat boards, or some other way, but haven't gotten the chance to meet you.  So to them I'll just say that Steve Stegeman is a kind person, fun to talk to, and worth meeting, so if any of you get the chance, don't pass it up.

Steve, good luck with your growing family, and the next endeavors.  You are quite the intellectual and I can only assume that you'll flourish in academia as soon as someone gives you the chance to pursue your particular field of study.
