Funny, because we talked about me needing a QB and you traded one today.

Anyways,  we talked 49ers Defense.   Not KC defense.   Candidly, look at their remaining schedule, you would of started them MAYBE 2 games.  They play the Chargers and Chiefs twice.   I would of called, but you traded Bradford today, leaving you 3 QBs on your roster.

I was not planning on dropping them UNTIL I submitted my line up.   I wanted to drop Matt Moore, but if Tannehill gets hurt, I would be screwed.

Hell, I offered the Chiefs to others and there was ZERO interest.   So,  instead of the drop, I get a 4th round pick for them at the last minute.

Finally, there is a method to my madness.   My guess is Joe would trade them to you, however, it is also safer to have Joe have them as he will rarely start them over the Seahawks.  And he would be crazy to trade them to someone in the playoff hunt.

Ah yes. and the REAL method to my madness, I wanted the #1 Defense in football with an INCREDIBLE schedule for the remainder of the year.......  Houston Texans baby.  #1 iin total yards per game, #3 in total points per game.   For your convenience, I have posted their remaining schedule below.(highlighted by the Jags twice, Raiders, Cardinals, and Titans.)   So now, we are talking some real trade bait!!!

10 Nov 10 3:25PMCST * AT   Cardinals

11 Nov 17 12:00PMCST *   Raiders

12 Nov 24 12:00PMCST *   Jaguars
13 Dec 1 3:25PMCST *   Patriots
14 Dec 5 7:25PMCST , AT   Jaguars
15 12:00PMCST * AT   Colts
16   22 12:00PMCST *   Broncos
17 Dec 29 12:00PMCST * AT   Titans

No, we talked about KC and I have 4 QBs after the trade, so you are wrong.  But this is irrelevant as is my trade with Joe.  If the reason for not responding is because I am in the championship hunt, that is somewhat of a valid reason, but almost everyone is in that hunt.

The point is that I have now pointed out 3 times that people are not responding to trade inquiries and then proceeding to make trades without getting max value.  This does not make logical sense to me but no one is obligated to trade with anyone nor is anyone required to get max value on trades, so I will drop it and not complain about it anymore.

I still have a defense to trade.  Plus Joe would probably trade you KC for a 2nd rounder and you 2nd born child.

I know, for me, the Thursday night game combined with my Thursday work schedule is a killer.  I do not have the time to mull deals over.  Bottom line, a deal with me has to basically be done by Wednesday afternoon my time.  This poses a severe limitation on me as a trading partner this season.

That said, there have been some deals of late that I would have DEFINITELY jumped on if something of the like were offered to me.  This latest deal DB got from Joe was masterful.  It may prove to be a key acquisition on what may very well end up being a run to a championship!

Liquidation Sale

Anybody interested in taking a flyer on Terrelle Pryor???  He may not play this week.  Indeed, I am thinking of people who are interested in him as a future prospect, although he could very well be helpful down the stretch this year.

Rashard Mendenhall or Dwayne Bowe could also be had for a bargain.

I am not even talking players back for these guys.  Reasonable draft picks could get the deals done.

Please conduct trade talks with me by "private message" here.  Remember Thursday is a nightmare for me.  Dealing after 10:30 a.m. my time is virtually impossible.  Indeed, tonight would be better if you happen to be up late.  I will monitor my private messages throughout the evening here my time.

Guys, I hate to do this to yous, but time is really dwindling on my ability to get a deal done this week...  PLEASE, the sooner, the better (for purposes of time management and my blood pressure)..., moreover, because some deals on the table may require adjustments to my lineup.

Guys, even though I cut a fairly big deal this week, I am still very open for business.  Feel free to commence talks with me early so that it is easier to get something done in a calm timely fashion and not in a rush on Thursday.

Week 13 (next week) is the trade deadline...  I am looking to make moves...  What do I mean by that?  I have got a list of some intriguing players who can be had for a song...  They are: Darren McFadden, Rashard Mendenhall (traded), Steve Smith and Terrelle Pryor.  What does "a song" mean for me?  A mere Protection Spot, and you are in the ballpark.  Given time constraints, this will very well come down to first come first serve as long as your offer is reasonable.

I am also willing to listen to reasonable offers for, in particular, Marshawn Lynch (traded), Knowshon Moreno and Josh Gordon.  None of them will come cheaply, though.  This is for step-up-to-the-platers, who just want to maybe shake up their rosters.  Bargain hunters, see above!

One other note, private message here on "the Gridiron" is the best way to "deal" with me.  I will say up front that at this time no other mode of communication is guaranteed a response.  Thank you for understanding.

This week is looking pretty bad for me.....if I end up more than 3 games back, I am going to be selling like crazy.  Gore, Pierre Thomas, Texans Defense, Victor Cruz, Colston, etc.....

Just to get in the swing of things, encourage some chatter, and perhaps get some of you thinking, I wanted to float this out there...  I am surely in a position to make trades on a couple fronts...

First, regarding the draft, for which we are looking at a late date of August 31st (check the 2014 Summer Meeting & Draft thread), RIGHT NOW, not even counting what veterans will be available, I see the beginning of the draft as being seven ROOKIES of roughly equivalent value deep.  However, if the one guy who I want in particular is not available come my #6 pick, I will be very open to moving it.  Indeed, on the other hand, I could also be willing to move up to get said guy.

On another front, I am definitely in a position to move a protection spot.  Again, since we are likely looking at a fairly late date, the price is only likely to go up as time goes by.  I am in no rush, but I would be a fool not to admit that I (will probably) have a protection spot to spare.

Anyway, just floating these out there...  Feel free to private-message me about points of discussion and offers...

If anyone else has a young receiver coming off a 1300 yard/9 TD year, I will also give up a 2nd rounder and a protection spot.  I will not require a 5th and 6th rounder, so this is a really good deal I am offering.

Also, I do not care if the player has any gang ties.
   Just saying.

I realize that I am not really the right guy involved in this deal to be saying this AND that I am speaking to the one owner who has ever achieved a threepeat in this league (and won both the League Championship and Super Bowl in one season in the old format) and has six championships overall, two more than anybody else.  Nevertheless, I would assert the following on a few different fronts ranging from making moves tailored to your team [like I did trading a projected superstar-to-be wideout Steve Smith for a filler quarterback like the Bucs' Brian Griese during a (what turned out to be successful) run for a championship or like you did this past season making a trade to acquire Jason Campbell in which you gave up Reuben Randle (although you did get Dwayne Bowe)] to establishing good will with fellow owners (remember, when Rob entered as an expansion owner I handed him Derrick Mason for a mere 2nd-rounder when Mase was just beginning to peak): that it is precisely an aversion to deals lopsided value-wise toward one's trading partner that has prevented some owners from ever winning a championship or even consistently finishing in the top half of the standings.  Just my...

I generally agree that certain trades may appear to be unbalanced but are done to help a team overall.  However, not this trade and not at this time.  He probably could've gotten more, but then again, what do I care?  I am not supposed to complain about this anymore.

Anyone have interest in Justin Blackmon?  I am on the fence about keeping him and would consider a trade.  I believe he will be one of the top WRs in the league at some point, but the question is when.

Here is the latest on him.

Now that some dust has settled.

I am in a position to trade a QB.
Either Bradford or McCown is available. I can trade either of them outright, or maybe package them with another player (RB/WR) to upgrade at WR.

Last years stats, and most peoples rankings for this year show that I have 4 top 20 WRs, but no top 10, just looking to get a top 10 upgrade if possible.

Contact me if interested.

Heyas, guys...  Anyone interested in a protection spot?  Upon further review, I suppose I can spare one.  Going rate, though not really interested in low second-rounders.  Compensatory pick will be a sixth-rounder (after all) as that is when my last pick is.

I am in the dealing mood.   I am looking for a QB upgrade, but would consider stud WR as well.

However, even if that does not pan out, I also have a mid-tier QB I can trade if you need that third QB.

I also have a top 30 WR who is available at a reasonable price.  However, I also have a top 15 WR who can be had.

And finally, I am loaded a RB.  I am currently carrying 6 starters on my team.

Again, looking for that upgrade at QB, but will consider anything.  Some offers have already been discussed, other feelers have been put out there as well.  Only change is that I now have another WR and another QB who can be obtained.
