Here's the report on Favre's re-re-re-retirement from off "The REAL Feed" - it's the original LOCAL report all the big sports media sources are referencing:

Sources: Favre tells Vikings he's retiring
StarTribune: Sports (03.08.2010 11:14)
Brett Favre's wavering nature makes it impossible to call anything official, but NFL sources said the quarterback began informing Vikings personnel late Monday night that he has decided to retire for a third time.

Well, this situation is surely worsening and has truly become a concern or at least a nuisance (caused me to bump him down 10 spots last night in my receiver rankings:  http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=55;a ction=display;num=1280628196)...  It seems as though Harvin is wanting Brett Favre treatment.  You knew someone on the team was eventually going to pull this.  The thing many are missing, though, is that Favre has kind of earned it.  This kind of treatment is a privilege you earn, something hard to comprehend in this "hand-it-to-me", "what-he's-got-I-deserve" society that we live in, which mind you is not to say that Favre has gone about everything ideally...  At the very least he is neglecting his role as role model!  Anyway, the report on Harvin from "The REAL Feed":

Reports: Vikings give WR Harvin deadline to report
CBS SportsLine.com NFL News (13.08.2010 23:38)
The Minnesota Vikings-Percy Harvin situation took another odd turn when the club sent Harvin a 'five-day letter,' according to several media outlets.

What DF there is referring to, I think...  From "The REAL Feed":

Minnesota Vikings' Percy Harvin collapses, leaves in ambulance
ESPN: NFL (19.08.2010 13:11)
Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin collapsed while watching practice Thursday and was taken away in an ambulance.

Uh-oh...  Rice injury becoming a plague...  Currently atop "The REAL Feed":

Nagging hip injury could keep Vikings' Rice out half of season
NFL.com (24.08.2010 10:12)
The Minnesota Vikings could be without Pro Bowl wide receiver Sidney Rice, their top pass catcher from the 2009 season, for at least the first half of this season, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Tuesday.

This may even be more interesting than the Javon Walker signing...  From a LOCAL source on "The REAL Feed":

Miami Dolphins trade WR Greg Camarillo to Vikings
Miami Herald: Sports (25.08.2010 12:42)
The Miami Dolphins traded wide receiver Greg Camarillo to the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday morning. In return, the Dolphins get cornerback Benny Sapp, a Fort Lauderdale native entering his seventh year in the NFL. Sapp attended Boyd Anderson High School and Northern Iowa University.

I post this just because things in Minnesota are starting to get hairy.  The "issues" are starting to add up.  From "The REAL Feed":

Favre got ankle injection after game
United Press International: Sports (30.08.2010 18:26)
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre says he received an injection in his injured left ankle after Saturday's exhibition game.

Note the final quote of Favre in the article.  It's in the least distressing.

As bad as the Vikings need wideout help, they evidently didn't need it this bad...  From "The REAL Feed":

Veteran WR Walker among 20 cuts made by Vikings
NFL.com (04.09.2010 19:33)
The Minnesota Vikings announced Saturday that they have made 20 cuts, paring their roster to the mandatory 53-man limit ahead of the NFL-mandated deadline. The most recognizable name on the list was Javon Walker, the veteran wide receiver who the Vikings had signed Aug. 24.

This is first time I've seen a diagnosis of sleep apnea so heralded...  That's a disease that takes lives.  He has to sleep with an oxygen mask, for goodness sake.  Look, I wish the kid the best, and it seems like they've got things under control, but the characterization "No more problems for him," seems a "bit" overstated.

Slightly overstated yes.  But even in the article itself, Percy Harvin is quoted as saying, "It is a blessing."   Considering what he has gone through with the migranes, I think sleep apnea is not too bad.  It is a treatable condition that millions of Americans live with and is VERY treatable.

A few of my family members have sleep apnea and they have all indicated that once you get used to the mask(it can take a few weeeks), you feel a LOT better.

This does seem to be a done deal, finally.  Ponder has to now ponder his status as starter. From "The REAL Feed":
