Title: Re: Gonzo is BACK! Post by StegRock on Aug 30th, 2002, 9:26pm Okay... well... I'll start! The guy comes back; hasn't lost a step; easily catches 90 balls for 1,100 yards and at least 8 touchdowns! Boldly written, at that! ;D |

Title: Re: Gonzo is BACK! Post by DirkDiggler on Aug 30th, 2002, 9:27pm Gonzo schmonzo. Yes, he has been the best tight end for the last few years, but I do not believe he will be the best tight end this year. Why? A few reasons, first, he missed all of training camp. Some people say training camp and practice are not important. I disagree. Timing and co-ordination are critically developed during training camp. Second, Pollard is not sharing TE duties in Indy this year. Dilger is gone. With Manning throwing to him Pollard is going to be the #1 TE in the NFL this year!! |

Title: Re: Gonzo is BACK! Post by StegRock on Aug 31st, 2002, 12:47am Yea, Pollard is pretty well set up to be this year's... ...#2 Tight End. His situation is very auspicious, do not get me wrong. But, he just is not the receiving talent that Gonzo is. Gonzo is a Wide Receiver in a Tight End's body. By the way, more in-depth info on Gonzo from "the Gridiron's Newsstand": http://www.chiefzone.com/stories/083102/foo_gonzo.shtml! |
