| What the hell does that fuckin' mean? Please, I want to hear this one teased out... There is no one on the planet who goes after his dreams more veraciously and voraciously than I do. You aren't (yet) clued into that...??? Acknowledging reality and the limitations and dynamics underlying things, though, is another thing I like to do, but does not change my trying to take the world by the balls and make dreams realities,... perhaps not even just for myself, but for those whose lives I have an opportunity to touch, who, moreover, may touch me back in this wonderfully interconnected latticework of interrelations where, if people pull together and pull resources, so much can be accomplished. Bottom line, one's choice of which dreams to make realities is contingent on real-life, real-world circumstances. Are you suggesting otherwise? This is all the more true when those dreams either involve fulfilling the dreams of others, can benefit others, contribute to the enjoyment of others or, in the very least, are dreams the outward manifestation of which others would kind of like to be a part of.

Oh,... no,... now you got me goin'... I'm just letting you all know how you can help me with these dreams (and either you can or you cannot; you will or will not; things ultimately are what they are, but some of you not only stand also to gain, but are people I want coming along for the ride), something I would think you all would want to know. Nothing is more sad in life than when someone who could have done something or maybe even "made the difference" wasn't (made) aware of what was needed and, thus, didn't (even know to) step up, only to say after the fact, "Why didn't you just tell me? I could have done something." This is even more poignant when that person too stood to gain. Furthermore, in this vain, in accordance, I am trying to get you guys focused on what matters (right now and deflect your focus away from what doesn't yet). ...Okay. Step down.

| Note that I am assuming that the person responding there is being honest. I am taking it to be the case that the response is not just sound-good bullshit, which is actually often the case with most people (anymore?).

I did some research into SEO's, Jeff. Bottom line, it costs, and you have to be careful, i.e., it would be yet another job going about finding a good one. If you ever come across something reputable AND very affordable (an unlikely venture from what I can tell), by all means, pass it on. In any event, though, your post did prompt me to go around a visit some of these SEO web sites, and in doing so I did learn a "meta tag" move that I wasn't employing. I am now. We'll see if it makes any difference... From what I read, I think it could (obviously, that's why I went ahead and implemented it), maybe not a big one, but... one. It's all about the differences that can be made... Otherwise, you're left with the un-innovative and un-progressive status quo. Anyway, thanks for the prompting.

I know that some of you don't agree with my tack with stockpiling FF domains,... not that I have that big of a pile (9 in all). But, I do get contacted from time to time by dudes interested in purchasing this or that domain. In addition, I know it's not much, but it is the one thing that I can do to sort of get the word out that is affordable and, moreover, lasting (i.e., it's akin to a real-estate investment as I see it, in the long run at least; I own whatever domain as long as I decide to and successfully renew the registration). Anyway, one of them was poached three years ago. The circumstance was lousy. I somehow stopped receiving my domain alerts and reminders by e-mail as regarded this domain name, like as they would send out when it came time to renewing the registration on a domain. Adding insult to injury, I was unbeknownstly devoting web space to this domain for a good number of months before checking my alternate domains by chance one day and realizing this one directed elsewhere. Mind you, it wasn't being used for a fantasy football (or Final Fantasy, some video game, I gather) web site. It was just parked. It was a horrible feeling. My heart sank. I contacted Hostica to see if they could help, explaining the circumstances and how they were kind of partially at fault. They advised, but they couldn't really do anything. What made it crappy, though, was that they had no explanation as to why I had stopped receiving my e-mail alerts about the domain about a year and a half prior (I knew exactly when they cut off because I save all this stuff in my Outlook). I contacted the chap who swiped it with a heartfelt message as to the circumstance with this domain. I was willing to offer him something reasonable to reobtain it. He wanted $700. ... ... Needless to say... Well, because of a small registration problem I was dealing with today (behind the scenes) regarding FantasyFootballer.com (), which in the end worked out fine (thank God), I was reminded of this old situation with this other domain name and decided to punch it in my address bar and see what's up with it. To my surprise, it was down. ... As my heart sank before, it now jumped out of my chest Grinch-style with excitement, and when I went to see if it was available, IT WAS!!! I guess that guy finally gave up. So, as of 4:35 (PST) on January 1, New Year's Day, 2009, after about a three-year hiatus, our first-ever alternate domain is back where and with whom it belongs (for "just A LITTLE" under $700 ),... US! Even those skeptical of/not high on this tack of mine with the domain names like, for example, brother Jeffy, loved this one... on May 3rd, 2003, 5:51pm, StegRock wrote: What a way to kick off 2009!!! Something peripheral I learned in reacquiring FFInsiders.com is "domain aliasing". I don't know if Hostica didn't have that feature back in the day or what, but I just set up my alternate domains with index pages that refreshed to FantasyFootballer.com. That method I knew how to do. It is okay and, of course, I get some use out of some of those other domain names, but, by and large, especially if I am not going to use the domain for anything else, this domain aliasing is the way to go. It is a much more efficient and streamlined approach, (much-neededly) saving a little disk space and giving the domain more potential exposure because it is able to be plugged in wherever the domain of which it is an alias appears. Case in point, http://www.ffinsiders.com/gbrfl/ takes you to the GBRFL home page as does the usual http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/gbrfl/. Nice!!! I'm, for sure, going to convert hosted domains that I am not using for anything else over to domain aliases when I can get the chance.
