I would like to heartily thank the following members for stepping up and making a monetary donation to the site within the last year both with an eye towards the future of the site AND in consideration of me. I truly appreciate their ability to take a step back and grok what is going on here for what it is, substantively and humbly acknowledge the whole picture that includes the long-term sacrifices I have had to make to pull something like this off, see the bigger picture, the vision I have for FantasyFootballer.com, which is rather clear when sincerely stepping back and seeing the forest through the trees... I appreciate their trusting me and ultimately "getting it" without question. Thank you for helping me to at least try to see this thing through and with more confidence and incentive continue growing, progressing and, well, working! Check out the list of our contributors past and present here: https://www.fantasyfootballer.com/donate.htm.

Gene, thank you so much for, in the spirit of the holiday season, helping me with the "bottom line" here. These good tidings I am receiving as of late make me want to continue giving back... all year round, i.e., in the least, it just makes me feel good about what I am doing here, which probably has just as much, if not a greater, impact on the "bigger picture" than the cash itself. This gives some substantive meaning and context to all the thank yous. ... By the way, here is a link to our "Donations" page, where our donors list is also maintained and which is accessible by way of "the Gridiron Store": http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/donate.htm. Thanks, once again, to ALL, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Well, one of our not-so-new members, but one who is hanging around the joint A LOT lately, Brad George, has stepped up to the plate. I just received his donation today, St. Patrick's Day! ... I guess it's the luck of the Irish (though I am not Irish,... actually, somewhat ironically, I suppose, got a lot of Scotch... I mean Scottish in me )! In any event, this means so much to me, especially as I mentioned in another thread as of late my high time for paying the bills around here is from April through July, that's when almost all of my registration, web-hosting and news-feed fees are due. So, Brad, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this VERY timely and VERY generous donation!

Guys, we got a new, easy way to donate on "the Gridiron"! You all can now substantiely help support the "effort" here simply with your credit card! If you want to sniff around, here are the places to go: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/donate.htm, which is available by way of "the Gridiron Storefront", located at: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/store.htm. If I may say so myself, the (local) processing system, which I put together all by my lonesome, in and of itself, is pretty darn cool! Just receiving one of those automatic thank you e-mails I've put together makes it worth dropping a few bucks on "the Gridiron". ... Anyway, as always, thank you so much to those that have stepped up here on "the Gridiron" and helped keep the site free in every sense of the word, free and free of unwanted ads! Know that you truly are making a difference, perhap the difference. Your generosity encourages me to press on, in the least. Okay, it's late and I'm EXTREMELY ! Time for Steggie here to !

Well, we've got our first-ever "donor by credit card", KingKingSting a.k.a. Bill. A great guy... we actually spoke over the phone over the weekend (wow... two consecutive prepositional phrases beginning with "over" ). He "gets" what I am up to around here and that means about as much to me as the very generous donation he made. Actually, I gather that it is the reason he made the donation. Thank you, Bill, both for getting it and being inspired to make a donation!

That two-timer Callie! She's gone and done it again,... behind my back no less! I even told her, when she told me she was going to, not to! But, no, she went and did it... BECAME OUT FIRST-EVER TWO-TIME DONOR, that is!!! If I could, I'd give you a big (we don't have a "hug" smiley )! THANKS so much for your participation here as well as your kind understanding and substantive "appreciation" of all the work I put in as well as of "my job" which has to be done,... and, oh yea, for the donation too!

Thanks for the thanks. I see it as a bargain and worth a lot. On the practical side, as I understand it the big financial hits come in June and July. Maybe the Gridiron Gang would like to be more aware of that, so that if they plan on ponying up for the season they can do it at a time when it means a lot. I've been around the threads for long enough now to know that these guys are quality. If they want in, they will do it when it counts. Modification: I know that you have a thread about this, but it might be good to make it a little more prominent this time of year. People are not around as much during the off season, but I don't think anyone would object to seeing something under the Features header. Just a thought.

People are two-timing me left and right here anymore... ... ...This Brad George guy sending me a SECOND donation! "You bastard!"- ... ... Quite healthy at that AND he included a special, VERY thoughtful, extra gift based on one of our "G.T.K.Y.G" activities! I look forward to enjoying it later! All of you, but especially these folks stepping up multiply (WOW... I am sure that is the first time I've ever used that word), are really illustrative (oh my... I am verbally en fuego... Where am I pulling these words out from?) of the REAL, tangible, substantive difference, albeit little-by-little, a handful of people can make when they simply choose to do so! We are getting there and when we do, your kind, thoughtful and generous assistance will not be forgotten! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Well, now the two-timers are coming in TWOS!!! I received a couple donations within the last 12 hours, one late last night, one today, from a couple guys, who ALREADY give a TON to the site by way of EFFORT,... one of them in particular. These are really not the guys who need to do this, BUT THEY DO ANYWAY! And, for that I am TRULY GRATEFUL! They are definitely among the ones who, when all is said and done, will REALLY, SUBSTANTIVELY have helped us get to the "promised land". Thank you so much, Jeff and Steve, for stepping UP.

Well, while the site donors list isn't growing overall, the TWO-time donors list is (and so are the amounts, actually ), meaning that people who have already stepped up to the plate have decided to "make a difference" yet again (an even bigger difference). THANK YOU, this time specifically to Chumpzilla a.k.a. Ray Matty. You are a (low-maintenance ) pleasure to deal with, Ray. You seem to really grasp ALL that goes into this venture and always strive to "get it right" first and wade through the material before jetting questions at me. You don't know how MUCH I appreciate that AND how much time it (cumulatively) saves me (so I can work on the progress of the site rather than explanations of things already explained). Also, in the process of your "doing your homework", you tend to pick things off before they are a big deal for me to deal with as opposed to later when they can potentially be a big headache for me to clean up. Boy, do I appreciate that! Well, anyway, thanks again, Ray, and everybody giving me a hand with this. YOUR (SUBSTANTIVE, FINANCIAL) ASSISTANCE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN! I only hope I can return these favors tenfold down the line.

What a wonderful, "thoughtFULL" and pleasant Christmas surprise... One of our old-timers and mainstays here on "the Gridiron", one who bears a striking resemblance to Santa Claus... (okay, maybe not so much), BarnabyWilde a.k.a. Jim O'Dell, shows his appreciation for "the Gridiron" and the work that goes into making it happen with a very generous holiday donation. It is not to mention that Jim, notwithstanding this monetary gift, already gives a lot in other ways, posting frequently on the main boards, "the Red Zone", "between the 20's" and "the Sidelines", doing our FF-specific Giants report and writing an occasional fantasy article, founding and commissioning the "Giants of 'the Gridiron'" league, and talking up "the Gridrion" and getting the "good word" out to others on the internet and elsewhere. Thank you, Jim, for this very "direct" contribution and all that you do. The current donors page: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/donate.htm.

The new year is getting kicked off right thanks to one of our good guys, Primetime a.k.a. Gene Nestro, for making a kind and substantial donation to help out with the "cause" here. He is one of our GBRFL2 guys, and I know he appreciates what he gets out of the league and the site in general and the effort required to bring it all to him. It means A LOT to me that he shows his appreciation in a "bottom-line" substantive way. Not to mention, he has recently come aboard as our Cowboys Junior Correspondent in the FF-specific Team Reports section. Thanks, brother!

March 16th, exactly one month after Stegmas, a healthy donation comes in from one of our best, KillerKingSting a.k.a. Bill Owens. He and his "Insane Gang" love the site and appreciate the effort that goes into bringing it to life and to you all, and it means A LOT to me that he represents their appreciation by doing what he reasonably can from the financial angle to keep this ship sailing in the "right" direction. Thanks, friend!

I received an unexpected (at one time), nice, thoughtful and, might I add, "hunky" donation from a pretty long-time member of the site whom I have clashed with at times. We may have had our differences in the past, but, besides his contributions on the boards and some volunteer work, he is now making an even bigger difference. He is surely one of our more solid members and I am glad he has hung on on "the Gridiron" through the thick and the thin. For me, this donation is really a great story given how far we have come in our friendship of sorts, full-circle that is, from "having differences" to "making differences". In any event, thank you very much, Tony_O a.k.a. Mr. Onisko, for your gift to the site. It couldn't have come at a better time as right now the two biggest expenses are weighing heavily on me, the fee for the news feed, which I just paid in May, and, MOST importantly, our web hosting, the single biggest and most fundamental expense, which comes due July 13th!!! It would be great if others followed your lead, especially at this time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

It's Christmas in July... Twas the night before web-hosting fees are due and all through the house, all the Stegemans were freakin', including Steg's spouse. Steggie was about to be hanged, his wife kicking out the chair, when arriving in the mail Callie's donation was there!!! Cheryl, once again, a HUGE thank you for coming through, moreover, at a time when it gives such immediate relief. You are one in a million, our first-ever THREE-time donor!!!

Our list of three-timers grows... as PrimeTime a.k.a. Gene "Deion Sanders" Nestro steps up with a(nother) healthy donation. ... If every member of the site donated the amount of these last two donations of Gene's and Cheryl's, I'd be PAYING my writers and other assistants (a fairly healthy little wage). Ironically, though, two of those people would be Cheryl and Gene, who are both junior correspondents here. All I know is that these donations make running the site more of an enjoyment because, obvious financial impact aside, they "substantively" show an appreciation for what I am working so hard here to achieve. Primer, thank you so much for letting me know AGAIN how much you love the site and appreciate my efforts beyond mere lip service and a cyber pat on the back... and that's not to mention that you as well as the aforementioned Callie are an official, integral part of the effort going on here by way of your contribution of FF-specific team reports.

Now we're talkin'... (about makin' progress). At this rate, I just might be breakin' even here after not too long. Chumpzilla a.k.a. Ray Matty just stepped up with a(nother) hunky financial contribution to "the Gridiron". At this point, I am being floored by the "substantive" support and love I am seeing flowing in as we are well on our way to entering year three ("the Gridiron @FantasyFootballer.com's" birthdate falls in August of 2002). ... Frankly speaking, guys, the gaudy amounts coming in lately are,... well,... humbling. ... I guess you guys really are enjoying the site a ton and getting a lot out it and the whole experience it offers and appreciating my hard work and what I am trying to do here and the unique, unwavering and (overly at times, I suppose ) idealistic way I am trying to go about it. But, the site wouldn't be what it is without each and every working part, without each and every one of you. The existentialist/personalist in me so loves observing the wonderful, so NOT run-of-the-mill place WE are creating here. ... In light of this team/"cooperative" mindset, going back to the eye-popping numbers being donated as of late, I am SO thankful, but as I have said in various places throughout the site, I would MUCH rather 100 members donate $10 each than 10 members donate $100 each. First, it means that more people are (in)vested in the effort. Secondly, and MORE importantly, in my heart I cannot lie... I do NOT think that what I do here is worth $100 or even $50 to any ONE person. I mean I am trying hard, but... I don't see the "bottom line" as being of that much value. The fact that I am seeing numbers along those lines... humbles me. This time the "acting person" is Ray. Thank you, Ray!
