Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Regardless of its being the deadest of the dead of the NFL offseason, with our site's here being so very Kelly GREEN, and considering the presence of our esteemed member Mr. O'Dell, it just wouldn't be right to not acknowledge and celebrate St. Patrick's Day! While glancing over at the big St. Patrick's Day Parade in New York on the tube, I heard a great saying worth sharing with you all: "Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but instead by the number of times life takes your breath away." VERY good one! Well, guys, Happy St. Patrick's day! We're all a little Irish Catholic today! ...

| I've found that I can use many other colors than the ones on the drop-down menu. "Lime" is brighter than "LimeGreen" for some reason. I tried "KellyGreen and Kelly", but they were a bit too blue. I do like the "LightBlue" that BW and I have been using on the Draft threads. I discovered you could use other colors when I started using "Silver" for my weekly Eagles analyses. | I'm not Irish either, but I always understood it to be the equivalent of the English "Cheers!" Of course it could mean "Screw You" or something and I'd never know until I said it to an inebriated Irishman (sorry for the redundancy there... I guess I could have just used "Irishman" and achieved the same understanding).

| Blue is a typical default color, so is black, i.e. if it doesn't "understand" what color you're indicating, it will display it as blue or black. You actually have a greater array of colors at your disposal if you know the HTML color "codes", e.g., black = "000000" and white = "FFFFFF". You can use them with the UBB code here, i.e., instead of using "color=black", you could use "color=000000". By using the code, you can pretty much make whatever color you'd like. For the sake of efficiency, you'd probably want to be consulting a web-page editing program like FrontPage. Anyway,...

| Thanks for the tip. I can get those codes from Paint Shop Pro. I never even thought of that.

Backatchyou, Steve! Seasons so deep in the offseason have been hard to keep track of here on "the Gridiron", especially during these, what I will call, "in between" years... This is a particular bummer here given that we have such a St. Patrick's Day ambience on "the Gridiron" with all the green. Anyway, thanks for hanging in there, though, bra'! Insert an :Ihavegottogetahangloosehawaiianshakasmiley-smiley: here.

Have not posted to this one in a few years now, over a half decade indeed. Heck, I was not even Dr. Steg yet in March of 2016. In any event, with all that is going on, it seems apropos to wish everybody, Irish or not, who drops on by this old hood, the best of luck here in 2022 on this St. Patrick's Day!
