MSM screams that voter-ID and election-integrity laws are "THE END OF DEMOCRACY"!!! To wit, an uber-wealthy, professional-sports league was pressured and guilted  into moving an Allstar game from a majority-minority city, Atlanta, GA, to relatively pasty-white, Denver, CO because of the passage of an election-integrity law... 
How about we stop mouth-breathing for a moment and use our brains and think? 
What sounds more like "THE END OF DEMOCRACY"...???
A law that requires a person voting to show a photo-ID like you have to do when buying alcohol or, IRONICALLY, applying for a government program.
A law that requires that you have to make a formal request for an absentee ballot to vote by mail.
A law that requires equal access to be given to both major political parties to oversee ballot recording.
OR
Allowing people who show up to vote to not have to prove who they are in any way, shape, form or fashion.
Allowing ballot harvesting.
Allowing noncitizens to vote.
Allowing illegal immigrants to vote.
Allowing early voting, as much as a month early, before all information about the candidates is in.
Mailing out ballots to everyone to vote by mail.
Allowing for dual citizenship, which gives dual citizens, who have obvious split allegiance, the right to vote.
Mandating changes to election laws when it is explicitly stated in the State's Constitution that such changes must be made by the legislature.
(And, I am not including ALL the shenanigans that DID go on during the 2020 election.)

I would proffer that if you are a clear-thinking person, the choice about what sounds more like "THE END OF DEMOCRACY" is OBVIOUS!!! Stop believing these globalist, establishmentarian shills in the MSM, MSE and academia!

I have finally come to realize  that folks on the conservative side of the ball need to be much more judicious when it comes to accusing leftists and liberals of hypocrisy. It all too often does not serve to advance the discussion -- and even backfires -- because in most instances it does not mean the same thing for them and the indoctrinated masses as it does for conservatives.
Imperfect though we are and we believe every human being to be, a conservative has objective standards and principles that he or she tries to live by as best as one can. Of course, 100% success, or even much less than that, is impossible but that does not make conservatives hypocrites. It just makes them imperfect. After all, contrary to conventional definitions and popular opinion, hypocrisy is not one's not living according to one's ideals (for that is the imperfection of humanity) BUT RATHER one's having one set of rules for oneself and a different, more oppressive set of rules for OTHERS, that is to say, one's doing things one tells OTHERS not to do (THAT is hypocrisy).
For liberals and leftists objective standards and principles do NOT take precedence. What they have is a cause,  driven by global-statist, socialist/communist  ideology and, of course, self-interest. Therefore, albeit in a tendentious and self-deluded manner, they experience and, thus, define hypocrisy differently.

What hypocrisy is for the conservative is when someone violates the standards and principles that they espouse for everyone, like someone who mandates protective mask-wearing for all but violates it themselves. Hypocrisy is when one has rules for others but not for oneself. That is what a hypocrite is to the conservative.
But, this is not what hypocrisy is for leftists and liberals.  Think it through... 
What hypocrisy is for the leftist and the liberal is when someone acknowledges the merits of the other side or the flaws in the leftist cause. This notably occurs when someone fails to attack and ostracize whoever opposes the statist cause and the parties who have a stake in the cause. That is what a hypocrite is for the left.
As such, calling lefties hypocrites is not the optimal way to make intellectual inroads in the general public, for whom the charge largely does not register because they have been indoctrinated in the leftist cause by American Marxists in the schools, MSM and MSE and have thus become unfortunately inured to and unfazed by  such charges against the left. 
But, anyway, it is not so much that they are hypocritical as they are disingenuous... and a bunch of scolds!  In their rhetoric, disinformation is their currency; intellectual dishonesty and tendentiousness are their modus operandi, and ignorance, feigned and willful, is their escape hatch.  All of that, and not so much hypocrisy, is what conservatives need to unwaveringly and incessantly be pointing out!

In any case, I got into this with one of my (semi-conservative, establishment-republican) colleagues by email, and you are making a similar point to his, Joe. I see it differently, though...  I actually think this is more so how it is supposed to work. As opposed to the corrupt horse trading secretly done behind closed doors,  this is the process that is out in the open for us all to witness.  In fact, I think these closed-door, predetermined coronations  of House Speakers and Senate Majority and Minority Leaders (like Pelosi, Schumer and McConnell) for years, even decades, on end that we have come to be accustomed to -- and, indeed, per Joe's response here, even expect -- are indicative of or, at least, OBVIOUSLY vulnerable to, at best, the formation of an entrenched establishment and, at worst, serious corruption at the highest levels (remember Schumer's ominous, not-too-veiled threat to then President Trump about the intelligence agencies: https://youtu.be/c3p2zKPQSgI?t=475???). Point being, I like how this is playing out. As opposed to preordained coronations, I think this is more so how the Founding Fathers  envisioned the process. That is my...

So, I see what the MSM is doing, now even going so far as to hearken allllllllll the waaaayyyyy back to the Mueller Report... Let me summarize...
There is a little bit -- eh-hem,... a relative miniscule amount, mind you, compared to our corrupt MSM hyperbole -- but perhaps just a little bit of some "there there" against Trump in the Mueller Report. () We lament that there is nothing indictable, criminal, no less impeachable, or even unusually seedy for the world of international business, but,... eh-hem,... maybe, just maybe some mud to sling and distract the masses and come back to your informed friends and family with. So, everybody, let's stay focused on that. After all, we have to focus hard since we need microscopes to see it. Ha-ha-ha-ha (sweat on brow)... And, whatever you do, do NOT pay any attention to that MOUNTAIN of OBVIOUS and in some cases even PHYSICAL evidence against the Bidens, Clintons and many others that is PLAIN SIGHT (as Brennan, Strzok and Schiff shove your head back down on the microscope as you  go to look up). In accordance, do NOT watch any alternative, non-legacy media that,... eh-hem,... disagrees with us,... oh,... and the CCP,... at least, like, say, Real America's Voice or The Blaze, that would inform you about any of that obvious stuff in plain sight. Just stay in your mental cage...  and believe our lies!

The following is the difference between mainstream leftwing media and rightwing alternative media, which does not include Fox News save for a few exceptions...
The democrats tell the mainstream leftwing media what to say, and, in turn, the mainstream leftwing media tells YOU what to think, and so a narrative is put between YOU and what is actually going on.
Whereas...
Rightwing alternative media gives YOU raw information and, in turn, tells republicans what to do and thereby provides a bridge between YOU and those in power based on what is actually going on.
This distinction is most apparent in the way protected groups are used as cover for collusion and behavior that is scandalous, even treasonous, or, at the very least, exhibits fairly clearcut conflict of interest.
