| I think Deuce will be back this year. Not only is he healthy, but the Sainits have reintroduced the Fullback to block for him. And, as you said, the Saints have simplified their offense. It will be a lot more Deuce and a lot less of Brooks getting sacked!!

If anyone wants to look back to this time last year, I was very critical of Deuce and was questioning him as a top 5 fantasy draft pick. (Of course, I was right! ) This year, however, I'm singing a different tune. I think the NO offense will be better and will feature Deuce more. I also think the O-line is improved. Finally, Deuce is in a contract year. Instead of getting stopped at the 1-yard line, he'll think of the 2006 contract and push it into the endzone.

| You just ruined it for me. I wanted to tell you I took him as my RB1 in a live draft on Friday, and then I wanted to tell you to stop laughing.

There have been too many additions for Deuce not succeed. Adding Mayberry and Jamaal Brown will definately do good things for the line. New O coordinator Mike Sheppard, who is more dedicated to the run. Being without a FB really hurt Deuce last year and was brought back for the end of last season. Haslett has said he has to run the ball to win games, look at the end of last year when he got the touches. Week 14-@dallas-30-83-2TDs Week 15-@tb-25-89 Week 16- ATL- 29-128 Week 17-@car- 28-140-1 TD All of these games have a few things in common. Deuce was healthy again, had his FB to run behind, was given the rock an average of 28 times a game, and the Saints won each of these games. Average those games out and that comes out to a 1760 yards on the ground, not to mention Deuce has some pretty good hands out of th backfield. Duece in the end of the first round to me is a steal. Ill take him all day long @ the 6-8 spot. Everything to me points to a top 5 season. Guys like Mcgahee who are way overrated are going in front of Deuce and to me thats rediculous. |
| NIIIIIIIICE analysis, msb! REALLY hope to see you bringin' this kind of commentary to "the Gridiron" table more in '05, man.
