The Great Smiley Project & Avatar Madness!

For those of you into the lighter side of things around here, I wanted to inform you about the commencement of the "Great Smiley Project" and a little game of sorts in connection with it! I have downloaded a bunch more smilies that I want to add. However, based on the unfortunate lack of functionality of this overall wonderful message-board program with regards to doing this, I am going to have to do it one-by-one if I want to do it the right way, at least in my mind. They all could just be added into a "Smilies" directory, but... I want to keep the "message" smilies in some order, alphabetical after "thumbs down", and I also want to give them cool labels, not just based on their ".gif" file name, which is limited to certain characters and make for labels that usually sound stupid/boring. So begins the (eye-popping) journey of adding them one-by-one. So, if you really like these little guys (e.g. ) and you want to have some fun with this otherwise mundane task Steggie has to deal with, let's make a little game out of it... Every day, for the next 20 or 30 or so, I will be adding one to three smilies. The question... Can you identify the NEW smilies for the day? I just added two today. What are they? By the way, when it comes to "message icon" smilies, there is no way I will be able to keep them in alphabetical order anymore. They will just be listed in the order I add them. For the purposes of our little game, though, I will wait a day or two before adding the ones that will be used as both "message" and "message icon" smilies to the "message icon" index. So, no cheating! Also, if there are any out there that YOU really like, feel free to contact me and I will consider adding them. Thank you!

| LOVE that idea! Let's do that down the road. But, I'll start it! Let's give them all a chance for awhile as, though I do love the idea, they are all coming from my loins in the sense that I have chosen all of the added ones! The philosopher in me just has to come out here, though... It is funny how we, Americans, have a propensity toward the negative. I mean, it has to be known that I am handpicking these smiley dudes. We could just as well do a "Favorite Smiley" contest, could we not? It would probably be just as fun, would it not? I just find, based on the vantage point from which I see having gone about in the States quite a bit and, moreover, having lived and been around overseas for so... too long, this phenomena to be, well, intriguing and the popularity of "Survivor" very consistent with this mentality. In short, VERY short, it seems like we have had it so good for so long in America, that we take it for granted so much so that we let negativity seep into our "world" seamlessly and insidiously. You might be thinking right now, "Steg, all he/I said pertained to smilies for Christ's sake... Let's keep perspective here! " Yea, that is true, but, in a way, makes it even further proof of my belief and more potent evidence in the fact that it is such an "off-the-cuff," cutesy issue that contains, inherently, more positivity than negativity. Again, whatever, Steg the Philosopher, had to wield his ugly head here. Sorry! Just take it whence it comes... from a guy whom you ultimately know little about, who runs a fantasy-football message-board site and is sitting a half-world away behind a computer screen, but who cares about "what's up" and probably thinks too much about it. Moving right along... PhantasyPhilly... SCORE! That was #2 of the day! A couple more comin' at you a bit later!

| Sorry boss... I can't be logged in 24/7. I actually have a full-time job that is fairly hectic. Anyway, congrats to someone. Those boobs would be hard to miss.

Oh, come on now, Philly... Get with the program! At any rate, TWO new smilies just added. Who gets the points this time? Now, I gotta' go to bed. It has been a "long" night here in the ROK. It is actually a holiday weekend here, so.... fun night! I'll see you guys again on the morrow!

PhillyPhantasy is starting to run away with things. But, given the amount of smilies I will be adding, there is definitely still enough time for "someone" else to make a move. Current Standings PhillyPhantasy - 5 bgsgfan - 1 (and 1 assist) someone - 1 Regarding the smilies you suggested, paulinstl, one of them will join the team. Hint! Hint! I must admit that some of the others go against my (gayer, I suppose) sensibilites. Along these lines, there is actually a "blowjob" smiley out there. I really like it, but there is no way I can justify officially bringing it over here. Of course, for those adept at linking to graphics/smilies from other locations, as you are, paul, as an individual poster in no way officially endorsed by me or "the Gridiron", you can use whatever smilies you want from wherever you are permitted to. 8)

Well, It is getting to be a bit of a run-away! But, PhillyPhantasy, don't get too cocky! There are quite a few more to cum. Nothin' like makin' a smiley cum... especially this cutie... ...Oops! I meant come... to my bed... Oh, shit... I meant my pad... I meant MY BAD! Anyway, here are the... Current Standings PhillyPhantasy - 8 bgsgfan - 1 (and 1 assist) someone - 1 And, I have just added a few more. Could be some bonus ones this time around.
