heads up!   I think The Fighting Chiapets(Ray) may have illegally acquired Doug Gabriel.   Spudville Mashers(Jimmy) has had Gabriel since the draft.

So I think cha-cha-cha-CHIA still has the Hawks D.

Thanks for the heads up, Robert.  He actually gets Hakim (instead of Gabriel) according to his free-agent list.

...

Anyway, PLEASE, guys, try to be a little extra diligent when filling out your lineups.  If you are not absolutely sure a guy is available, do a quick "Find" (which is done on most browsers by way of the "Edit" tab) on the "Rosters" page for the guy.  Thank you!

Thanks Robert and I apologize Steg.  I did look over the roster and am not sure how I missed it.  My fault for scrambling at the deadline!

Not a biggie, Ray...  As long as you guys catch this kind of stuff quickly, it will never amount to much (work for me or "issues" for the league).  Jim also caught something.  I had left Chris Perry on Ray's roster despite the fact that he had traded him to Tony.  Again, not a big deal, but especially so because it was caught right away.  Thanks, Jim!

No problem...I look at the rosters quite often, since my team sucks and I am looking for players on the waiver wire!

Hey Steg... coupla things real quick.

1) I put in a request for Jim Mora as a coach two weeks ago.  Someone else claimed him then as a bye-week guy, so, obviously I didn't get him.  I put in the request again this week, anticipating that he would be dropped - which he was.  Should he appear on my roster then, or can a player/coach not be dropped and claimed in the same week?

2) A tech question here.  When I want to look at submitted lineups after they've been locked in, I've had to enter my user/pass each time I look at a different team's lineup.  Am I doing something wrong here or is that just the way it's coded?

Thanks for your tireless work with the deuce league here.  We all appreciate it!

You wrote, "I put in the request again this week, anticipating that he would be dropped."  You are not allowed/supposed to do that.  You can't pick up a coach, player or defense the week they are being dropped.  They do not become available again until the week after they were dropped.  If you think it through, it is really the fairest way to do it (and have it be easy from the administrative side of things; but, administration aside, any league I've ever been in does it this way, case in point, JYJ's Xtreme league going on right now, which is run by way of fairly sophisticated league management software).

No, you are doing the right thing.  If you remember, that was part of the BIG change I made last year to plug up a HUGE hole that could have been used to cheat.  I don't think it is of much concern yet (but, who knows?) but as I consider running more leagues (for pay), this kind of "issue" needed to be taken care of.
