Any thoughts on J. A.?

Hey guys!

What are your thoughts on Jamal Anderson's seemingly inevitable signing with the Patriots tomorrow?

Will it actually go down?  If so, to what degree will he have an impact?  Antowain Smith did not look so good last night; of course, it was against a tough Steeler Rush "D", but...  What are ya'll's takes?

I'm not going to be waiting in line to pick him up.  I think he will not be an important part of the offense in NE.  Antowain Smith got them to the Bowl last year and they will continue to ride him.

For deep leagues I like to stash a 2nd string RB that has potential should the first string guy go down.  That is basically how I would classify JA right now.

Also, I would not read too much into Smith's performance.  NE decided to attack Pit through the air.  They are a solid team, and their MO will continue to be exploiting the other team's weaknesses.

The Pats passing game sure looked more like a plan than an adjustment to me. JA may hold worth to Smith owners with 18+ roster spots, but that's about it.

Gotta' say this!  I just checked out the four local dailies referenced here at "the Gridiron" Newsstand that cover the Patriots and still no mention of Anderson or what was an apparently inevitable signing that was supposed to take place yesterday.  I really think, as I stated in the other old thread on Jamal, that he and his agent, at least in part, are using the Patriots in the press to establish leverage while waiting to see what other suitors come out, like the Lions and Cardinals.  I could see him fitting in Detroit really well, actually.  Anyway, here is a link to that other thread:
