Looks like the Dolphins have found a new #2 wideout to replace Oronde Gadsden. I think it is a good move for the team. He is a quintessential #2 and an improvement over what they had. I think this probably spells the end of the road for Gadsden in Miami and bumps Chambers's value up a bit as Thompson should be a good compliment to him. Here is the lowdown straight off "the Gridiron Newsstand":
Since I live in DC, I got to watch Thompson last year. Very solid player. No one could figure out why Spurrier did not use him more. He would have a great game and then Spurrier wouldn't even play him tghe next week.
I truly do think he will be a great fit down there. I am curious if he will step up to the #2 position on a regular basis or would be a better #3.

Good acquistion for the Dolphins but probably a step back fantasy wise for Derrius. Gotta thing Spurrier will throw the ball more than the fins. I think it helps Chambers a little as well as Fiedler.
This was a good signing with Miami although it should be noted that Gadsden may still be back in Miami next year but he will have to lower his asking price of a $1.8 million signing bonus.
Miami recently offered him the NFL minimum of $525K I believe which is a slap in his face but I also think he shouldn't have sat out a good part of last year with his injury. Had he played Miami would have given him the money he is looking for.
