We get to keep 12 players. I already have the 1.4 pick...picks 1-5 are lottery picks... I gave up the 1.9, 2.4 and 4.10 and got back the 1.3, 8.3 and 9.3 I still have the 3.3, 3.4, 4.2 and 4.4. I may have paid a bit too much, based on this years class being weak for starters THIS YEAR, but i am building my team towards next year. I know i don't have a shot this year, but maybe i will get some solid young guys for the future. Here is my team in the GBRFL: start2 qbs: Gannon, Culpepper, Redman, Dilfer start3 rbs: Ahman Green, SDavis, Antione Smith, Lamar Gordon, Shuan Bryson, Adrian Peterson Start 3 wrs/TEs: Boston, Booker, Travis Taylor, Josh Reed, Pinkston, Tony G. K: Vinateri DEF: OAK PLease just give me feedback on the deal. I don't want any input on players to take or who will be there at that/those picks. I made ALOT of deals to get extra picks and i think i invested wisley...then again ya never know

It was a fair trade and a smart trade. I am not sure why you are martyring yourself by saying you over paid. Fact of life is that a 1.3 lottery pick is much more valuable than a 1.9 pick. I think the trade is straight up fair, especially when you look at the intangibles. You had so many high draft picks this year and that the draft class this year does not have "stud" picks too deep in the draft it makes it fair.(I see 4-5 "studs") You were looking for a guaranteed player. I think it was a smart trade by the other team because he needs to get players to rebuild. Overall, he will get better players with the draft picks he acquired. In addition, there will be a very decent player at 1.9. It won't be as good as a starter as you will get at 1.3, but it will be a very servicable player for years to come. A guess would be a player like Kelly Holcombe, Fargas, Andre Johnson, type player. Good trade for both teams IMO.

DOLFAN That deal sucks. You're an idiot. The other guy is brilliant. . Just kidding. I think it is fair to both of us. Our replacement drafts are just so speculative that the 9th round pick I gave up could be 10X more valuable that the 1.3 pick. If this were a full draft, then the trade would be real interesting. But the way I usually draft, the sucker I would have drafted at 1.3 will probably be available at 1.9. Dirk... who's rebuilding?

I don't believe in rebuilding at least in the way DOLFAN does. In FF, anyone can win any year. . I believe in overhauling a team after a bad year, but a 2-3 year "rebuilding process" is a waste.

1st of all i am not rebuilding! I am "building for the future"...NEXT year. There is a diiference ask Dirk Diggler. Look at my roster Feidlers choice is is clearly way better than yours. I had a poor year because i had so many injuries. Sure they are part of the games. Besides rbeuilding seemed to work for Hhn. Loo at his team: Vick, Brees, LT, Portis, Shaun Alexander, Moulds, Koren Robinson, Rod SMith. Looks like he has done a GREAT job of rebuilding...and last i checked he placed better than you and i last year. Looking at my team..."on paper" I only need a better # 3 WR. I have Travis Taylor and Josh Reed at that spot. But like i said i WILL lose guys to injury i do every year. Unless you have a RB that gets 60+ CATCHES YOU DONT HAVE A CHANCE IN THIS LEAGUE...AND THATS A FACT. Ever since we changed the rules a few yrs ago it has amde a difference. Slightly maybe but they guys with Faulk and Holmes have won in those 2 yrs. But you are right ya never know. I'm always looking towards the future while trying to put together a solid team. Dave, I'll bet ya $20 i finsih with a better rec0ord than you this year.

Easy now, big fella. No need to get defensive. I'm simply saying that I disagree with you philosophically. In other words, I do not see putting a team together as "building for the future" and I see no need to go for the league "in 3 years" (as you say) as opposed to going for it each and every year. Using your example, I would argue that Hahn seems to have put together a good team that (last year) finished only a few games out of the championship. It's semantics really. I would rather use older guys to go for it this year than speculate on younger guys for 2 years down the road. Call me Steinbrenner. My argument is that FF is too speculative to do the latter. As for your dick being bigger ... I mean your team being better ... I don't really see the relevance, but I wish you well. You finished a game better last year. Good job. But thanks for bitching about your team's injuries again. I think we all forgot for a moment. I am off to have a good cry.

| I don't agree at all. You might be able to make a case for the trade if it was a re-draft league, but there isn't a whole lot of value difference between the 13.03 pick and the 13.09 pick. I certainly wouldn't give up my next round pick for that little difference. I really hope you had a reason for doing this, as in "I know X, Y, and Z players will be gone by the 6th pick and I wanted to get two of them". If that's the case, ballsy move. Otherwise, I think you got burned.

Yeah, but in his (DOLFAN's) defense, the first round of our re-draft as you call it consists of rookies and guys that step it up in camp or become starters as a result of injury.

Guys, A couple notes on this overall good thread... 1) Because, as the initial post explicitly expresses, this thread is not about (the trading of) "players", but instead (the exchange of) "draft picks" ONLY, it borders on being inappropriate for "the Red Zone" and more appropriate for "between the 20's", as this is almost completely just an "FF league" question that you pose rather than a question about "the NFL and NFL players as they relate to fantasy football". With trades, this inherently gets dicey because "players" are ultimately always involved in the end and a consideration of "what players will be available at what pick" is necessary, as a matter of fact. That is why I chose to incorporate discussions on trades in "the Red Zone". On the other hand, though I do appreciate your trying to put the trade in light of "the players", DOLFAN, with threads about these types of trades, especially given the fact that "between the 20's" has become our "Draft Central", it would probably be better to just "post them downstream" on the "between the 20's" board, a practice which is permitted. That having been said, I will leave it be as it does not break the rules strictly speaking. 2) Though you (my) GBRFL guys did not go overboard here, out of consideration for the rest of our general members, it would be good and for the better of the harmonious, "coming together" atmosphere I am trying to create here, to limit league-specific talk, especially trash-talkin', and keep it on the GBRFL league board. I never want people to feel left out or as if they are a greater or lesser part of things here because they are or are not, respectively, in one of our "associated" leagues. I want the emphasis here on the main boards of "the Gridiron" forum, "the Red Zone", "between the 20's" and "the Sidelines", to be on togetherness and "the Gridiron" team. Anyway, back to the show... Thanks for all of your anticipated understanding and cooperation! Your Friend in Fantasy Football, Steve
